Nemanja Vidic has chosen Italy and specifically Inter. Gazzetta dello Sport looks at the reasons behind the Manchester United’s captain’s move to Milan next summer. “He selected Inter because he was impressed and convinced by the project of Erick Thohir. He had recieved approaches from Milan and Juventus but he voted for Inter”. The papaer also notes “Vidic has requested a dossier on Serie A, to study the attackers in a special way”. The article concludes that this transfer has been completed because of the excellent work by Piero Ausilio and Erick Thohir, noting also that Deki Stankovic had some words to convince his former international team mate to make the move to Milan.

Vidic is better at 32 than Samuel was when he was that age. Who cares if we’re getting a 33-year old Vidic, it’s the same as having an improved 33-year old Samuel.
yes, and Serie A moves so much slower than the Premier league that he’ll have no trouble at all adapting…I actually think it will feel like slow-motion to Vidic and he’ll be one step ahead of the play.

I do feel positive with Thohir works so far. He got Hernanes, fired Branca, and now we got Vidic. If we got a world class striker like Dzeko and Kovacic playing superbly then i believe Inter will be great again.

Good signing, will slot in nicely where Samuel fits. Will be good for the other defenders around him too. I am sure Inter appealed because our players are so average that he was guaranteed a starting spot too!
Impressed by a project? Vidic will be 33 in October, hardly the time to be looking at long term projects. Even if the project where to work, INter are currently so far behind Juventus that Vidic will have retired before Inter can gain any form of success. Samuel is 35 my friend and look at him ;)! Vidic is a champion and the deteriorating of Manchester United has affected him. When u change clubs and leagues, it serves as a motivation a person, just like buying a new car or have recently fallen in love. That kind of excitement gives you that extra push to do more. I’ve been to Milan twice, and it’s a place to wonder. Beautiful city that inspires people! I’m sure it will serve as an inspiration to vidic to return to his former self. And in Seria A, defenders don’t run as much as they do in the PL. So I guess he’s gonna be perfect.

amazing works by our management. Vidic is still a world class defender, and we got him for free. It was because of Moyes bad defensive tactics made Vidic and Ferdinand looked very bad this year. Next, please change Mazzarri! Simeone would be a surprising gift next season.
