Contacts between Inter Milan and the agent of Juventus forward Federico Chiesa have been “frequent and recent.”
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that there is an ongoing dialogue with the 26-year-old increasingly linked with a shock move.
Chiesa has been the subject of recent surprise transfer links to Inter.
The 26-year-old looks to be at the centre of a contract standoff with his current club Inter.
What is clear is that Chiesa is out of contract in less than twelve months’ time and has no prospects of signing a new deal.
Chiesa is out of the project under new Bianconeri coach Thiago Motta.
Therefore, Juventus are aiming to cash in on Chiesa this summer while they have the chance.
Otherwise, of course, the risk would be that the Turin giants lose a big name player on a free transfer when his contract runs out at the end of next June.
Inter In “Frequent & Recent” Contacts With Agent Of Federico Chiesa
It’s hardly clear where Chiesa will go if he leaves Juventus this summer.
There had been interest from Roma. But the Giallorossi decided to sign winger Matias Soule from Juventus instead.
Meanwhile, there is interest from clubs in Turkey and Saudi Arabia. For Juventus, a cash offer from one of these leagues would represent a welcome slolution.
But Chiesa has no intention of accepting any of those bids.
So that leaves Inter. The Nerazzurri are keeping tabs on Chiesa’s situation.
Inter’s propensity for big name free transfer signings is no great secret. Therefore, they are considering the possibility of signing Chiesa at the end of next June.
But then there is even the idea of taking advantage of the 26-year-old’s situation this summer in order to sign him for a cut-price fee.
In any event, Tuttposport report, Inter are in close contact with Chiesa’s agent Fali Ramadani.
The newspaper characterize these dialogues as “frequent and recent.”
