Inter Milan have reportedly struck an agreement with Sassuolo over the transfer of Andrei Radu. However, the goalkeeper’s green light has yet to arrive.

According to Tuttosport via FcInter1908, the Italian champions are currently working on offloading the deadwood to raise funds for the upcoming arrivals.

This includes selling Filip Stankovic to Venezia and finding Martin Satriano a new club.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri are seeking a solution for Radu who finds himself surplus to requirements at Appiano Gentile following a disappointing loan stint at Bournemouth.

Nevertheless, the source reveals that Inter have an agreement in hand with Sassuolo.

The Emilians are hellbent on keeping their ranks strong. They are aiming to challenge for an immediate return to Serie A following their shocking relegation last season.

The Neroverdi are seeking a new goalkeeper as Andrea Consigli and Stefano Turati are currently on the sidelines.

But despite securing an accord with Inter, Sassuolo haven’t been able to put the deal over the line just yet.

Andrei Radu Hoping To Join Sampdoria Despite Inter Milan Agreement With Sassuolo

As the Turin-based newspaper explains, Radu is biding his time before giving the all-clear for his transfer to the Mapei Stadium.

The report claims that hat the Romanian is still hoping to join Sampdoria.

This would be a return to the Luigi Ferraris stadium for the goalkeeper. He enjoyed his best career stint thus far at Genoa.

But as we reported yesterday, the Blucerchiati are no longer seeking a new custodian. Their young new signing Paolo Vismara has already done enough to convince Andrea Pirlo.

So it remains to be seen for how long Radu would be willing to block the operation while awaiting a call from Sampdoria which might never come.

The 27-year-old’s contract with the Nerazzurri will expire at the end of the season.
