Bologna’s Dan Ndoye and Fiorentina’s Dodo are on Inter Milan’s shortlist of targets to replace Denzel Dumfries if he leaves this summer.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are still waiting to see whether any clubs trigger the release clause for wingback Denzel Dumfries.
Until the 15th of July, Dumfries has a release clause of €25 million.
Therefore, Inter are wary of losing the Dutchman. Particularly with major clubs like Barcelona and Manchester City reportedly showing an interest in activating his clause.
Inter Targeting Ndoye & Dodo On Shortlist Of Denzel Dumfries Replacements

According to Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, there is a basis to recent rumours of Inter targeting Fiorentina wingback Dodo.
Indeed, the newspaper report, the Nerazzurri have made contact with the Brazilian’s representatives. They are laying the groundwork for a potential move if Dumfries leaves.
However, Il Giorno reports, Dodo is not the only player Inter are eyeing up as a replacement for Dumfries.
Already last summer, Inter had been monitoring Bologna’s Dan Ndoye as a potential backup for Dumfries.
And should the Nerazzurri lose Dumfries this summer, the 24-year-old Swiss international would once again become a target.
However, Ndoye will not be an easy player to get. The price tag for him will certainly be high, whilst Napoli are also reportedly keen.
Ndoye is a winger/forward who scored 9 goals last season. Why are we getting a wing foward to be a wingback? Also didn’t we spend 25mil for Henrique to replace Dumfries not long ago? I am not sure what they are planning here but it feels very disorganised.
It seems like we have been targeting guys that are more winger than wingback. Perhaps trying to shift tactics to more of a 3-4–3. I think a Susic/Barella midfield would have plenty of intelligence, physicality, and creativity. Would also explain the openness to letting Hakan go.
If that is the case shouldn’t we be looking at LW position? I hope that is the case though. 3-4-3 would be must more exciting to see then 3-5-2 with no wingers.
Dimarco, Henrique and Thurman could all play left wing
