Inter Milan will sign a number ten this summer, with Brighton’s Julio Enciso and RB Leipzig’s Lois Openda options.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan coach Cristian Chivu looks to be intent on changing the system of play at Inter a bit.
One notable aspect of the Nerazzurri’s formation under Simone Inzaghi was the absence of an attacking midfielder.
Inzaghi would set Inter up with three central midfielders, two wingbacks, and two strikers. There was a lot of linkage between all those players, but not a player linking the midfield and attack directly.
Inter To Sign A Number Ten – Julio Enciso & Lois Openda Targets

But Chivu wants to do things a bit differently. He wants a player with the right skillset to play in the channels behind a striker in a 3-4-2-1 shape.
Therefore, signing a forward or attacking midfielder with those qualities is a priority for Inter.
According to Tuttosport, RB Leipzig’s versatile Lois Openda is one player Chivu is a fan of.
Then, the newspaper report, Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso would be another option.
The Paraguayan is out of contract with Brighton next summer, which should motivate the Seagulls to sell him.
Meanwhile, Tuttosport note, coach Roberto De Zerbi had been a fan of Enciso when he coached Brighton.
Inter should look at Rodrigo Mora of fc Porto for the attacking midfield role.
Assensio is the man if he is ok to have a pay cut
wish we can sign Alberto Moleiro or Sudakov
I wish we’d go for Harvey Elliot, who I think would have a bigger impact in Serie A than Scott McTominay…. He’d be available too, as there isn’t room for him at Liverpool, now they’ve signed Wirtz….
Never gonna happen, but he could be a difference maker for Inter….
i agree hes avalaible for 30 mil thats really good for a class player like him
Also, say he had 3 brilliant seasons with us, and then wanted to go back to England… you would double your money, minimum!!
Elliott would be a very nice transfer.
Hopefully Marotta is reading this!! Lol!!
what are you talking about, he is out of reach!
Liverpool want £50 million ($67m) to sell Harvey Elliott this summer amid interest from West Ham
Pretty sure I said that it wouldn’t happen… just saying who I’d like… A bid of €40 million may do the trick, but we aren’t even looking at him, as Oaktree don’t have the ambition to sign such a player….
