Inter Milan are reportedly considering making a third offer for Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman after their most recent bid was rejected.
This according Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri will wait to see whether La Dea return with an improved offer.
Inter Milan have received Atalanta’s response to their second offer for forward Ademola Lookman. And it was not the one that they were hoping for.
La Dea have rejected the Nerazzurri’s offer of €45 million including add-ons. That is up from the €40 million bid that Inter had made a couple of weeks ago.

Now the question is whether Inter will raise their offer further for Lookman.
A key detail is that Atalanta did not give Inter a counteroffer in this most recent rejection. They simply flatly turned the bid down.
Therefore, it is tricky for Inter to understand how they might break La Dea’s resolve.

Instead of gambling with the unproven Bonny, Inter should have offered 50 mln for Lookman weeks ago.
Lookman only became available because he reached out to Inter, so at the time they bought Bonny he wasn’t a recognized possibility.

Zero resale…what are you on? If he plays well for us (which he likely will), he’d still be worth a decent chunk in 3 years. And he’ll hopefully pay us back through helping us win prize money.

Totally agree. The first move should be for Leoni and De Winter – that’s the priority. There’s 4 or 5 players that need to be sold, so I guess we are waiting to see what funds can be raised. Atalanta sold Retegui so unless they have a clear replacement for Lookman I can’t see it happening. Ederson might be a possibility instead, if we make sales.

Inter really need to stop wasting time and get Chivu the players he needs. Chivu will need this time to work with new signings before the season starts. We have wasted over 2 weeks and got nothing done. Either we find a new alternative or we move our focus to get a new defender.
