Davide Frattesi is back in training after recovering from surgery, and could be available for Inter Milan’s Serie A opener against Torino.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi has been dealing with a persistent abdominal problem.

The former Sassuolo midfielder suffered the issue during Inter’s Champions League semifinal tie against Barcelona.

Specifically, Frattesi suffered an inguinal hernia. This plagued him through the last few weeks of the season.

Furthermore, the Italian international was unable to feature at the Club World Cup. He returned early from the United States.

Therefore, in the end, Frattesi underwent surgery to correct the issue earlier this month.

The question now is when Frattesi will be able to return to the pitch.

There are still a few weeks to go before Inter begin their Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri’s campaign kicks off with a match against Torino on August 25th. And according to Tuttosport, Frattesi could even be available for that match.
