Inter Milan have yet to receive a counteroffer for Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportItalia, via FCInterNews. They report that the Nerazzurri are in regular contact with the Nigerian international, who is no-showing training.
Inter Milan have now been publicly pursuing Ademola Lookman for the better part of a month.
In fact, by all accounts the Nerazzurri had hoped to wrap up a deal for the Nigerian by the start of August.
That putative “deadline” has now long come and gone.
Inter had hoped that after Atalanta rejected their €40 million first offer, a second bid worth €45 million with add-ons would get a different response.
Inter Yet To Receive Ademola Lookman Counteroffer From Atgalanta

In the meantime, Lookman has done just about everything he can to force Atalanta’s hand.
The 27-year-old former Leicester City and Fulham forward has issued a public transfer request, no-showed training for the past several days, and even left Italy.
According to SportItalia, Inter are in regular contact with Lookman.
The player is currently at a resort in Iberia awaiting developments regarding his future.
Inter, meanwhile, are also getting ready to make a new bid.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri need to wait and see if Atalanta will give a clear counteroffer. Therefore, this would be something they can base their next bid on.
However, that counteroffer has yet to arrive.
