Villarreal have reportedly lined up Chelsea defender Renato Veiga as an alternative to Inter Milan’s Tomas Palacios.

This according to Spanish outlet Cadena SER, via FCInterNews.

Villarreal have reportedly lined up Inter defender Tomas Palacios as a target this summer.

The Argentine is not in Inter’s plans. The Nerazzurri are therefore looking to offload him just twelve months after they signed him.

Palacios had seemingly been close to Basel. However, the talks between the Swiss club and Inter broke down.

According to reports, two teams are keen to bring Palacios to La Liga. Villarreal and Real Valladolid.

Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is a player who the Blues are likely to sell this summer.

Veiga had spent the second half of last season on loan with Juventus. Therefore, he is a familiar face within Serie A.

According to Cadena SER, Veiga would be open to making the move to Villarreal.

Therefore, the Yellow Submarine would have a couple possible targets in defense including Tomas Palacios.
