Sampdoria will reportedly cover a chunk of the wages of striker Antonio La Gumina at Inter Milan’s Under-23 team.
This according to today’s print edition of Ligurian newspaper Il Seccolo XIX, via FCInterNews.
For the first time next season, Inter Milan will have an Under-23 team. The team will compete in Serie C, and have officially registered for the Italian third tier.
As with the Juventus Next Gen and AC Milan Futuro teams, the purpose of this team is to offer younger players a pathway into first team football.
However, there will also be a few older players to offer some senior experience. Both on the pitch, and behind the scenes, as the youngsters find their feet in the senior game.
Sampdoria To Cover Chunk Of Antonio La Gumina Wages At Inter U23

Inter Milan have already brought in a few older players to be part of the Under-23 team.
Therefore, these include defenders Giuseppe Prestia and Luca Fiordilino, and goalkeeper Riccardo Melgrati.
Another notable name to arrive at the Inter Under-23 team will be Sampdoria striker Antonio La Gumina. He will join on loan from the Blucerchiati.
Furthermore, reports Il Seccolo XIX, Sampdoria will cover a portion of La Gumina’s wages.
