Stefan de Vrij and Yann Bisseck are reportedly pushing for starting spots in Inter Milan’s starting eleven against Udinese today.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu is encouraging competition in defense.

Inter Milan take on Udinese in Serie A this evening.

Last Monday, the Nerazzurri began their season with a bang, thrashing Torino 5-0 in their season opener.

Now, Inter will be feeling the pressure to follow that statement result up with another win, after Napoli and Roma each made it two wins from two yesterday.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu is considering some changes to the lineup for this evening’s match.

Against Torino, Chivu started a back three of Alessandro Bastoni, Francesco Acerbi, and Benjamin Pavard.

That is the defense that was first-choice under Simone Inzaghi for the past couple seasons.

However, according to the Gazzetta, Chivu is ready to give other players a chance to fight for starting places.

Therefore, the newspaper report, Stefan de Vrij and Yann Bisseck are also pushing for a starting place. Maybe even as soon as this evening.
