Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan are reportedly making progress in their pursuit of wantaway Al-Hilal star Joao Cancelo.
According to Matteo Moretto via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have taken ‘concrete steps’ to sign the 31-year-old wingback.
Less than two years after swapping Manchester City for Riyadh, Joao Cancelo is desperate to return to European football.
Indeed, he has already told his agent, Jorge Mendes, to find him a new club in one of Europe’s traditional top five leagues.
Meanwhile, the super-agent has offered his client’s services to several Serie A sides, including Inter.

Cancelo is open to returning to his old stomping ground, with Inter already in talks with Mendes over a potential reunion.
However, Barcelona and Juventus are also in the race, highlighting the magnitude of the task awaiting the Nerazzurri.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi has put Cancelo up for sale, increasing the likelihood of the Portuguese ace’s winter departure.
The only problem for Inter could be Cancelo’s stratospheric wages.
