Former Inter-coach, now at Napoli, Rafa Benitez spoke today to Spanish radio-station Onda Cero and managed to, once again, take another blow at Inter and this time Walter Mazzarri.
“Last year with Mazzarri, the coach and the whole team depended on Edison Cavani to do it for them. This year we have a lot more options in attack. I think the fans will appreciate that more now that we have three or four players that can score.”

That means that benitez should do better than mazzarri because mazzarri depended on cavani while beitez has 4 players who can score. Yet mazzarri finished second while benitez finished 3rd

It seems he’s forgotten about Hamsik, who has become but a shadow of the player he was under Mazzarri, easily one of the best players in the league. He’s also forgotten about Lavezzi.
He should be grateful the 2 played so magnificently under Mazzarri, because he is currently wasting the money Napoli made off those players on his own wishes. It’s as if Higuain doesn’t make the team dependent on him, he’s scored like 60-70% of Napoli’s goals this season.
Mazzarri brought Napoli back to the top. Him coming and having 150 million to spend at his disposal doesn’t make him a genius.
It seems he will eternally be haunted by everything that is Inter. I hope we can somehow sign Hamsik and he can come back to haunt him for a lifetime.
