Gazzetta dello Sport confirms that Andrea Ranocchia will renew his contract and become a key member of Inter’s defence until 2018. The offer from the club is around €2.3 million per season but it’s possible that Ranocchia could get €100-200k more. Only small details remain but in short Ranocchia will lead Inter as captain for the next four years.

Stop hating the guy so much. He will get much better this season with Vidic beside him. He is Italian and the player who has been at the club the longest and he deserves to be the captain and play in the starting eleven. Since we will play 3 at the back it will probably be
