Erick Thohir was interviewed by Bolanews about the new Inter that is being born:
“To compete at a high level the club needs to have a squad with an average age about 26-27 years. Massimo Moratti agrees with this and for the rest, football is changing. It’s not about missing respect against those who made Inter triumph in 2010 but for now there’s no other choice. We had to reduce the average age and we can’t have more than four players that are more than 32 years old in the team. Then we need six players who are between 25 and 28 years old and the same ammount of players who are 22-23 years old. Then we need a player with great charisma and experience, a real leader and to conclude we need many youngsters with a great potential. This all to be united as a unique force.
Thohir also talked about the players and the formations:
“With only Nagatomo and Jonathan, we would have problems on the wings. That’s why we got D’Ambrosio in January. I don’t want to see an Inter that can only play 3-5-2 anymore but I want a team that could play 4-2-3-1 or other formations depending on the game. Mazzarri has accepted my challenge and he also had the courage to believe in Kovacic and Icardi, who then proved to be important for the end of the season. Now I hope the age reduction with proceed with time and this is a vision I share with Ausilio.”

Actually he use word “challenge” on that. As a president He loves Inter, he heard what we said, what we want. We always complaining about wm with static 3-5-2 right?. That’s why he challenge wm.

In fact, Top Man Management can’t Allow to be involved at Technical Area like dictate WM How to play. but in the other hand, WM was just static Coach Last Year. He just think about 3-5-2 without thinking about the player availibility. so, at this moment, i think ET is right then

Thohir seems to be very serious and ambicious, now hes just trying to buy required players so the squad can be competitive for lets say top 3 Serie A at best. The true real high shot signings will not come until Inter are back in the Champions League and until then i might suppose that his idea is to save a lot of money by doing good investments and treat the club like a economicly winning company, so Thohir is starting a project of a team that we will se competitive on a Top European level and top Italian level in a couple of years. After the treble in 2010 Moratti just did what the team needed to survive (or maybe even less) trying to find someone that had the characteristics of Thohir, after the treble Morattis task with Inter was done, he would not spend another penny willingly anymore. So every inter fan should trust in Thohir, he’s donne pretty good so far, dont take him for the presidents of Man City and PSG, this will make us very strong probably in the future!

If the president interferes with the manager that means lack of trust. Thohir pays the coach to do his job, not to act like a puppet of his own, do as he is told to do. if he doesnt accept Mazzarri’s own vision, then why is he still here?
once again, i’m not saying last year was good, but Thohir must be really careful what he says, because there is a fine line between ‘friendly’ advice or a direct order…
from the other source, thohir didn’t order wm the formation. he just challenge wm to try other formation depending on the circumstances.
Thohir thohir stop forgeting inter players .. Last time u forgot about dambrossio after we signed him .. Good that u remember him now but u forgot abou dodo. I know he means well and might’ve slipped his mind for a second but he should be careful cuz the press might eat him alive lol.

Yes because what I like about thohir he never stops working.. Always aiming for better things
