We reported it earlier today and now it seems to be official that Walter Samuel joins Basel. The former Inter defender will wear the shirt number 6 and the SempreInter.com crew wishes him the best of luck on his new adventure. Samuel declined Sampdorias offer to avoid facing Inter and has now signed a one year contract with Basel.

wow what a surprise….
True legend
We should have kept him another year w cuchu. He was our best defender last year. Thohir disgrace. Cant believe he fired Cordoba too.
I hope ET offer him to come back in the future to help with the youngsters or something becuase he has great leadership skills. Now as a player, the fact that basically no teams in Italy (besides Samp) offered him something, even though he was a free agents, tells you that he is not reliable because of his age. So, it is not just Inter. Regarding Cambiaso, Yes that was a screw up. They should have offered him something. About Cordoba, nobody knows how well or how bad he was doing because his job was behind the curtains basically. But lets be realistic, if you buy a business you want your people in charge, no the previous owner’s people, specially if that previous owner is still a minority owner. So I don’t think it is a disgrace like you said. But I fully respect your opinion.
Argentinian. Players get better with age. Eastern European players dont.. look at our sinisa and drago finished at 34… other clubs didn’t dare because they know he is inter and wouldn’t upset the tifosi… sinisa thought he could persuade him since they spent time together at inter
thank you legend.. he even reject samp to avoid facing inter.. forza the wall
Thank you for everything we will never forget you! All luck to you and good luck in Basel!
