Inter Milan have continued to make changes from within the club by appointing Claire Lewis as the Marketing Director. The club released a statement about the appointment. It reads as follows:
FC Internazionale is delighted to welcome Claire Lewis to the team as Marketing Director.
Lewis joins Inter from Apple having previously worked at MTV Networks Europe and EMI Music. Claire has spent the last seven years at iTunes, at the heart of the media, entertainment and content industry as an expert in brand development and integration. She has acquired a wealth of experience working for and with leading media organisations as well as on new market launches. Claire brings to Inter her expertise in planning, developing and implementing high impact marketing campaigns, as well as strategic partnerships and international expansion projects and importantly, in digital and social marketing as well as in building communities.
Hired by Apple in 2007 prior to the iPhone and App Store launch, Lewis has led the international brand expansion for the iTunes Festival which has grown to be one of the most recognised music events in the world, featuring global superstars and an innovative content distribution strategy.
Lewis will be charged with increasing the already large number of Nerazzurri fans across the globe, and will lead FC Internazionale efforts to expand its presence in markets around the world.
“We’re really proud to have Claire on board,” commented CEO Michael Bolingbroke. “She will play a key role in a vital sector of our core business and develop the Inter brand on a global level. I’m sure that Claire will be able to transpose her experience from a global, elite business like Apple to the footballing elite.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining Inter at this exciting time with the opportunities and challenges ahead,” said Lewis. “It’s an honour to be part of such a prestigious club with great history. I will bring my experience and dedication to the team and really look forward to working with my new colleagues.”
Claire is a passionate sportswoman, who was appointed an ambassador by the English Football Association in 2008 for Women’s and Girls’ football. She is also a trustee of the Women’s Sport and Fitness Foundation and during the 2012 Olympic Games in London she worked for the Italian delegation. She has been a regular contributor to BBC London sports programming for ten years and speaks English, Italian and French.

Hope the English language lessons are going well for the Italians left at the club and for Zanetti. Sounds like English will be the new working language with the people they have bought in!
Blown away by how Thohir is transforming Inter!
let’s hope she gets rid of this abomination! : http://www.footballkitnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Glasgow-Rangers-Third-Strip-2013-Sevco.jpg
nice mom 😀
She sounds like the perfect person for the job!
thats is what i am talking about, make INTERNAZIONALE INTERNAZIONALE!!
great good job….i can imagine how inter will develop this recent years
Keep it up!
Sounds legit! Grande Thohir, he fixes the problems starting from the core, the management level!
only thing I don’t like is no Cordoba =(
Well, honestly there’s no such “team manager” in Italy, it means Cordoba doesn’t have clear task in his job. Inter maybe can send him to America Latin as ambassador or something represented Inter, but i highly doubt he has the ability to do the job..
What a revolution. Wish you the best Thohir.
