Inter scored the first goal through Ruben Botta, but could not keep Haris Seferovic (2) and Lucas Piazon (1) away from scoring.

WM said he wanted to start preseason with a 3-man defence, so Vidic could adapt to it. From what I understood, we will get 4 at the back maybe from now on! 3-man defence will be a 2nd formation. We’re after an attacker, wing type? So we might end up playing 4-1-2-2-1 /4-3-3 (in attack). Jonathan – Palacio on the ringt isn’t quite Lahm – Müller though. If what I read is true, I’m a bit worried about our attacking wingers… Dodo might be alot better than Alvarez? I’m asking. I only watch Inter… Please correct me if you know more than me!

I dont mean to compare WM with our great JM. But, have anyone still remember about what JM capabke of at our bleoved Inter?? I Just think about how creative JM is, even when Inter is behind 1 – 2 goal defeated.. JM can change formation, from 4213, 4141, 424 or etc. So, the team played with so much variation.. worth to try.. but now,??? Our Inter seems like helpless..

I agree with you 1908, WM’s time @ Napoli was at best 3rd/2nd place in Serie A and he didn’t take Napoli to advanced stages in CL either! Inter is bigger club Napoli so any manager coming in MUST work better than lesser club in Serie A and on top of that MUST have a good experience in managing a team playing in CL both tactically and mentally, because that what it needs for a team to win a treble year-in year-out, keep the team more productively at all time. Under Moratti, good player like Ronaldo will lose faith in our team and will move on, I hope with Thohir, things will change for the good of the team & club.
To keep it simple, we need a manager that knows what it takes to win in Serie A & CL, or someone who is intelligent enough to understands these titles.
Since Thohir have tried and failed to land Diego Simeone, I don’t mind giving Frank De Boer a try?
In today’s footballing world, the market lack both decent managers & players, so Thohir what ever you decide, you must make it quick & effectively for the future of INTER.
May be lacking qualities in the footballing world gives people like WM a chance to try 1-3-5-2 formation? Personally, any good attacking team will easily breaks down a 3 man defence than 4. Hence, 3 man defence manager must have a better tactical mind than 4 man defence, so WM?

Perhaps you should acctually take a Close look at what quality we acctually posses, and then you might realize thar our team just ain’t that great, the team Mazzarri had at Napoli where in fact better, then what is at his disposal here at Inter.
Yes Inter is a bigger and more prestigious club then Napoli, but that is not making the team we have any better.
Our team just ain’t that great at the moment, and that makes it pretty Dam difficult to attract a better coach then Mazzarri, especially when Thohir is not going to offer a new coach expensive new players of his choice nor CL football.
As thing stands we just don’t have that much funds, we have no stadium of our own, we didn’t use the opportunity granted to us back in 2010, and now we are paying the price for it.
Mancini is not any better then Mazzarri, he only won thanks to a better goal difference, although hé had by far the better team in the PL, and his track record in the CL is shit. So no he is not going to improve this team. Mancini is only caple of winning when hé has a superior team, and even then hé struggles.
And no I’m not defending Mazzarri, first of all just like the rest of you I’m not very fond of him nor his tactics, but I’m not going to demand that he get our team to deliver a better resoult then what it realistic is caple at.

I agree with you that the team is not the best at the mo, but with the new president just started working, may be it should be better shape next year. Then let club review its decision again, and hopefully we should have a bit more money to buy top & good age 🙂 players to strengthen the team, either have a better manager coming in or WM shows his quality this year (ie, win more games in a consistent way in Serie A & take advantage of games playing against lesser quality team of serie A, this will define his managing qualities) and be ready for CL. The 2nd goal was offside, but we didn’t deserve to win anyway. And I still think giving the captain armband to Ranocchia was a wrong choice. He is not getting younger and he is not improving as well. He makes a lot of mistakes. If we manage to buy Rolando, I would like to see Rolando to start over Ranocchia. And if that happens, what does that say about our club? That the captain is a sub?

Simply dreadful performance. Our attack had no imagination whatsoever. The main reason I think is because we shouldn’t play with balls through the wings. Our center midfield is where Kovacic and Hernanes can create chances. Depending on Jonathan and Nagatomo again this season is a rly bad idea. And we need Cerci.
Let we see what happen in future of WM and surely he knows if he must more brave than before…

No, our formation is lacking. Mazzari plays like we are a relegation team, defend and maybe attack and give a goal. But the problem is, we have full defend mentality on 3 defenders. So when it comes to it, we concede because we lack in defense and then don’t give goals because we are on full defense mentality even after we are behind.
