“The 8th of August we talked to you about a done deal for Rolando, a deal that would be concluded whenever an Inter defender would leave the club. At the moment both Silvestre and Campagnaro are at Mazzarri’s disposal but the mercato could see solutions come during the coming days. Inter aren’t in a hurry since they already have a deal with Porto since almost ten days back for an ammount between 2.0-2.5 million euro’s for Rolando. Now Inter only needs patience, Rolando promised himself to Mazzarri and is convinced that he won’t be deluded.”

I never said terminating a contract is for free, Noone is going to buy them so just terminate the contract and save salary of those two dead weights for the next year
Yes, but the cost of terminating contracts usually is not very far from the actual salary which means that Inter wouldn’t save much money and at the same time get a bad reputation.
Just release both defenders or one of them then get Rolando. Simple as that

but in reality, you must pay compensation for the player(s) if you wanna to terminate their contract.
You can’t release players under contract without financial repercussions. Simple as that.
