During Andrea Stramaccioni’s time at Inter, Gomez were very close to joining Inter, instead, he chose to leave Italy and sign for Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv. The adventure in Ukraine has not turned out the way Gomez hoped for and he now wants to leave after only a year. Metalist have agreed to sell the Argentinian winger and Inter stands interested again, since they see Gomez as a low-cost option as opposed to other targets like Lavezzi, Cerci or Firmino.

If you do not succeed at a club like Metalist Kharkiv, than you definetely are not worth it to wear an Inter shirt. I think we should concentrate on buying a good right back because Jonathan does not live up to standards and D’Ambrosio is just a decent back-up in my opinion. We should look at bringing Davide Santon back for the right wing and Firmino for the ”10” position. If then, we still have money to spare I think we should focus on a striker e.g. Destro.
