During his first press conference at Coverciano before Italy’s matches vs. the Netherlands and Norway, Conte took time to point out issues in the Italian system. He said: “I have seen games where unfortunately some teams don’t have any Italians on the field, or only one or two. Reforms that take place should give more space to the Italian players in order to ensure the national team is being driven by Italians.”

LMFAO ! Clearly Conte was talking about Inter !!
Here is Ausilio’s answer to that one “Do you know how hard it is to find an Italian National on Free Transfer?? “
Its only a problem for Conte as national coach. It doesn’t really affect Inter, so nobody really cares. But good luck to Conte with calling up all his juve mates. It went really well in Brazil with that backbone. Just a matter of time before Del Piero gets the nod Again.
A club who buys referees are also a problem
And who was the latest Italian player signed by Juve intended for regular first team action?
The thing is that juve don’t need any more Italians because their contribution to the national team is huge 5 or 6 players. Tbh only juve offers good Italian players to the national team which is a shame. And I think it is one of the reasons why they are favored by FIGC
Sorry but I don’t agree. First of all it shows the trend in Serie A that all Clubs that can afford it buy foreigners. Secondly only Buffon and Pirlo have true quality on the national team. And they won’t last for long. The juve backline on the national team are highly overrated, and its about time they letter other players have a go. If Italy want to succeed with the national team they need to think outside the box instead of desperately staying in their comfort zone and continue with the popular choices.
