Sky Sport transferexpert, Gianluca Di Marzio spoke a bit about the choices Ausilio made to the midfield:
“Inter didn’t search after a “regista” but a central midfielder as Cambiasso, wit that in mind looked after one who has the same characteristic about the offense. Medel and M’Vila arrived for almost zero money, because there wasn’t any possibility to invest a player with another characteristic for 10-15 million Euros.”

When Dortmund reacquire his former player Shinji Kagawa,
who is a very smart player, a goal-scoring midfielder, he is known for
his vision, technique, movement and deft passing, and 25 years old, for
8.5 Million Euro and Inter’s management are after free players, i have
nothing much to say but to spit on their face.
Shinji Kagawa > Hernanes + Guarin

Calm down, I wouldn’t be surprised that the reason Dortmund got him for that cheap is simply because of the deal they had with United when he left Germany. Quite often in transfers deals clubs do have some percentages that they will receive if the player is sold again, if not much more clauses that we fans might have never heard about. It’s also often so that the player will want to go back to his old club if he doesn’t like stay in the current club.
The player goes down in salary, United and Dortmund got a quick deal for him to return as all parties were comfortable with him returning. Dortmund getting back a good player, for a reasonable fee and okay salary. Kagawa getting playtime, coming back “home” and with a lust for playing football again and showing that he is still a good player. Easy for him to produce directly, as he know how Klopp and Dortmund plays and that has not changes since he left. United got okay money back, freeing up some salary and a spot in their squad a non-eu player occupied.
Probably this deal was already in talks between the clubs, player and his agent already in the spring if not earlier. At that time not easy to read how the transfer situation was for Kagawa for other clubs, don’t forget that Kagawa might have only wanted to return to Dortmund and there for there was no option for others club to buy him. And when Guarin and Hernanes was bought to Inter, Kagawa was not on the market.
You may be right my friend, but what was the Guarin’s tag price that Inter was asking, 18 Million Euro? You could easily have sold the mindless zombie for 12-13 Million and use the Nagatomo factor to convince Shinji to come to Inter, or at least they would have tried to ask for him instead of Chicharito.
So the 10mil we spent on Medel is nothing now?
Could’ve been better spent elsewhere
move on
And we should have kept cuchu. If he can cut it against man u…. the real reason cuchu left was because Thohir wanted him out at all costs. They released him like a dog. No farewell, no nothing. A classy club like ours doesnt act like that. I will always be an interista. Moratti may have not made the smartest decisions but he was one of us. Thohir really annoyed me playing w his phone last half of last game.
c’mon move on kid, his wage too much for nowaday Inter.. even with that many cut of players we still have to pay from Moratti era or else FFP will eat us alive, we talk about the wide and long future here not simple narrow minded person, you can’t build team in one night we need new player new blood new motivation, i speak as behalf of Cambiasso fans myself, and i support him even if he’s in Leicester but he created history, so we will create our own just believe in your team, if you keep blaming for what happens in the past you can’t grow like a man
Medel and M’Vila are perfectly logical solutions when you can’t afford a super-expensive player.
They are both decent in defense and offer a very reasonable output in offense, depending on the style of play employed.
Neither is quite as intelligent as Cambiasso, but then again, there are hardly any left in the world of his kind. Cuchu was class, there are no clones of him.
