According to calciomercato.com, Inter and Roma are going to have to battle it out for Yevhen Konoplyanka. It is reported that the player’s agent and father met with representatives of Roma on Tuesday. The Ukranian winger’s contract expires in June 2015 and the race for the player’s signature could heat up.

Roma don’t need him that much so I doubt they’ll be that persistent. For us he’s an instant start-up. And I would love to see him in the black and blue.
True, Roma doesn’t need him. If he is smart, he would choose Inter. However, it worries me that a player like that doesn’t fit in our beloved coach system. So, that might affect his decision

I don’t know what Roma want with this guy, they are going to put him on their bench anyway. Maybe its an attempt by Roma to stop what they might see as threat to their rise in seria A. One thing I know for sure is that, with Mazzarri or not, Inter Milan will win the scudetto before Roma does again…
Our chance against Roma is that we can offer more playing time to this dude. In Roma he’ll be substitute of Iturbe and Gervinho.
Seems like a great player, but I don’t know how we would use him and I expect a lot more competition than just Roma (as if Roma aren’t enough on their own).
