TuttoSport looks at the situation regarding Inter’s out of form striker Rodrigo Palacio. Roberto Mancini hopes that the Argentinian forward can rediscover the form which made him irreplaceable for the Nerazzurri over the last two season. 193 days without a goal (Since the 4-1 victory over Lazio) has seen doubt cast as to whether Palacio can return to the player he was. Meanwhile on the market Inter are looking at Zakaria Bakkali and Yevhen Konoplyanka. Two younger players who the club feel could contribute when Palacio’s time at Inter comes to an end.

Bonazzoli has the same characteristics as Palacio have+ he is so much younger + left footed and Italian! There are no big names in Italy’s offense right now (who the hell is Zaza or Pelle) he can easily get a call to the national team at the age of 18-19. That kid deserves a chance, no need for Cerci or Borini. Mancini just needs to think he’s his fourth striker and deploy him when he wants to rest his starting two strikers.
Wow, really? Put Pellè in Inter and he’ll have a +30 goal season easily.
Zaza is upcoming and can develop into a great player. Bonazzoli is the future, but keep in mind this kid is only 17, he needs time to develop. Otherwise you’ll end up with a talent wasted as expectations were forced on him too fast. Im sure Palacio has at least a year in him and Mancio will have him bagging the goals in no time!
You talk too Italian, this is why Serie A is going down. Tell me CR7, Rooney, Walcott all started playing regularly at the age of 16-17. No one will develop on the bench! And Pelle scoring +30 at Inter?? In Mazzari’s Inter we couldn’t even deliver +30 passes into the box!!
Mancini will give Puskas a first team call-up some time this season. The kid deserves to break out, he’s been playing incredibly!
Bakkali and Konoplyanka are wingers, not forwards and in this case they can’t be Palacio heirs, successors, replacements or whatever you wanna call it.
Tuttosport assume that inter will play with 3 upfront after january with palacio left icardi striker and cerci(or whoever) on the right flank. That’s why they relate bakkali and konoplyanka as the left winger to palacio’s heir.
palacio was good but just like milito , palacio’s time is over too.
instead , we should give more time to our young players who can grow like bonazzoli and puskas .

I’m sure Rodrigo will return to good form soon, he needs time and consistency. He’s not one who’s disappointed before, don’t think he’s about to start now.
Not like he’s gonna grow too much at the age of 33, but he’s got a lot to give to Inter yet.
