Radio Stoke reports that the club famous for their cold Tuesday nights are trying to warm up to Xherdan Shaqiri.
As a deal with Inter grows closer and closer, Stoke City have swooped in to try and prize the Swiss winger away from Nerazzurri hands. Liverpool have fallen a bit behind, but that is not stopping their Premier League rivals.
“It would be great to have a player like him in our team,” said Stoke president Mark Bowen. “We know there are other clubs involved, but that does not exclude us from the race to the player. We are definitely interested in someone like him.”

Author’s note: While I may have almost laughed reading the news…we honestly cannot wait for Stoke, or any other team to get into advanced talks while we’re this close to landing the player. I am still as confident as I was last night, because the player’s will seems to be set on Inter and Bayern seems to work with his wishes. We’ll wait and see.
