What do you think? About the deal? About the player? Comment below.

As much as I like Guaro the difference I’m class between Suarez and Guarin is to big…. quad love to have him with us
Our midfield was chaotic yesterday…cant hold the ball for more than 2 sec then wastin it with a miss pass or a stupid shot

Do you’re magic aussilio
mario in, guarin out, deal with it
spot on Mahdi
I think today’s game is exactly what made Inter accelerate if this is true.
I’m afraid we’re bound to lose a lot if we don’t reach 3rd spot, and considering the fact that we’re losing such easy points, especially in situations where direct rivals face off (Lazio vs Napoli tomorrow). Bet we’ll have to sell at least one of Handanovic/Icardi next season, and I don’t like this at all! It’s like we’re going through all this trouble to sign players like Shaqiri, Podolski etc. only to have all the work undone because of stupid games like today’s one.
I dont like the result either, that way I question why Poldi and Shaqiri not play both in first minute, why must palacio again?? But still I remain calm and just positive thinking.. Hope team get better and better.
I’m guessing Shaqiri isn’t fit to play 90 mins yet. Still think we should have been good enough to win, even without Shaqiri and Kovacic.
agree with Shaq not fit, but if you think Guarin as starter and no Kovacic is good enough to win this game, I think you wrong. I keep saying. we can’t depend on Guarin. Mancini fault is he underestimate Emp and think Guarin and Hernanes can take Emp mid.
Can we even make comparisons between Guarin and any of Empoli’s players? I’m not saying Guarin is good, I’m saying he’s supposed to be better than any player Empoli have.
I’m not bothered by the quality we had on the pitch as far as things on paper were concerned, it’s much higher than anything Empoli have had in the last 30 years. I’m bothered by Mancini’s mistakes (placing Hernanes, a slow/creative/strong shooting player on the wing and Palacio, a pacey hard working forward who can dribble and cut inside with speed behind Icardi) and by the fact that they didn’t look like they WANTED the win. If I were in their stead and saw that until half time we’d done shit, I’d go crazy and start running like hell, I’d simply overpower Empoli, because I know I’m better. They don’t seem to.
Besides, we did beat Genoa with Guarin as a starter, didn’t we? The difference being he had a good day then, and they wanted to win, they fucking went for it.

and if do that, I wish you be Inter coach in Empoli match. yesterday game and some people keep saying Guarin deserve to be a captain really make me depressing.
To be honest, no one deserves to be captain right now, except maybe Handanovic and to a lesser extent Palacio, but they’re not really captain material in terms of personality.
We were wrong to get rid of Cambiasso, it was a no brainer to appoint Ranocchia. And a huge part of our problem right now is that we don’t have a leader on the field.
I think a no-brainer means an easy decision, just so you know
Hmm I thought it could be used in both a pejorative and positive sense. Thanks, though 🙂
Yeah, it just confused me a little, I’ve never seen it used that way.

the full back is more necessary.Campa is shit in RB (he is Cb) , just get a RB or LB .
get both, please 🙂
That was a terrible display today (and was a 4am get-up for me to watch here in AUS!)
I think they’re equally necessary given Hernanes is playing far below his level now for long enough for me to believe he is past his peak, Kuzmanovic is our most consistent performer alongside Medel, and that Guarin is Guarin. Krhin and Obi are nowhere near good enough to perform, and we need Kovacic further up the pitch. We definitely need a full back though, D’Ambrosio is fine on one side for now, but Campagnaro is shown for being a center back far too often.
Never thought I’d read anywhere that Kuzmanovic is anything positive in this squad… Are we that sad? The guy’s a joke, we can’t be that bad :/
The problem with the midfield is that it is static, when we win posesstion no one is making decent runs for the player with the ball to release it, and the players are forced to take unnessecary and risky touches. Whats the point of getting a deep lying playmaker if no one makes the run? What we need is someone who can turn decfence into attack; who can keep possession long enough for the rest of the team to wake the fuck up and make the freaking run!! What we need is a consistent guarin, no one will admit that he is perfect for this formation! Its just that his decision making is almost always shit.
For the love of mourinho! Get an RB, campangaro can only defend; and not as good as his napoli days. We lack width coming from the back, its so obvious. Poor danillo is afraid of going forward because there is no JJ to cover. Its just sad, really sad.
The game on saturday was painful to watch; when vidic and guarin were trying to dribble passed players in our own 6 yard i almost died. The only way to describe inter was impotent, poor icardi, he probably would be better off somewhere else; no service whatsoever. I hope this is nothing more than a hiccup, because another game like this and we can kiss 3rd goodbye
Do you think putting hernanes back in midfield, getting shaqiri fit, along with podolski as second striker, with palacio/another winger out wide can make the team a little fluid?

hernanes does not belong in the back, not in his current form atleast, losing the ball in that in our own third would be catastrophic, guarin is better in that aspect, even though he makes the wrong decision 8/10 times, when he is on fire, he is the perfect box2box. up front i think instead of the 3-1, we should use a 2-2, with palacio or podolski supporting icardi, and kova, hernanes, shaqiri or obi out wide. icardi is always alone upfront, and gets no service; i think the team would always look to play in the middle of the oppositions half with three attacking midfieldes with the striker floating around the penalty box; waiting for the through ball or one two. with two attackers and two wide players we can look to go out wide, with our attackers pushing into the box, then we can use our full backs more effectively. but what do i know eh? im just a dude typing on my keyboard. all i know is something isnt working, and it needs to get sorted ASAP for this run of “not-so-difficult” games.
on another note, id like to keep osvaldo. if he apologised, and the team are ok with it. he has flair, something we so clearly lack. but if he will continue to be nuissance or we can actually get darmain for him then adios!
agree with the osvaldo point that you have made. Obi should be tried, he has more energy and pace than hernanes out wide.
“Whats the point of getting a deep lying playmaker if no one makes the run?” well said. thats why I dont understand wtf Mancio not give Kovacic his spot in starting line up and put Guarin in that spot. we can’t depend on Guarin. this guy way too inconsistent. and giving him Captain armband just make it worse. almost give easy ball to Empoli player in our own penalty box. ffs, stop trying to be Messi -__-
i agree about guarin being inconsistent, but kovacic does not want to play in the back, and hernanes cant be trusted back there. m’vila is too fat, krihn is untested “but i actually like him; has nice control”, that leaves kuz and guarin
I prefer Kuz. he more safety bet then Guarin who always trying solo run-Bale-wannabe. and its only Emp, like we already know they gonna play tight on the defence

Always like your articles Mahdi. You are an inspiration to all of us, even casual fans for your die hard support, in good and bad times.
I would like to add a few things: Hernanes should return to midfield, Suarez helps in offering balance, but, I still think Ausilio can try harder for a midfield player with more offensive characteristics, like better movement off the ball to create spaces, or a little more creativity for the pass. Or why can’t hernanes try doing this a little?
Obi can use his pace to exploit spaces created by that midfield player. He can try harder to win the ball too. Leiva is simply defensive. Maybe another good fullback to cover right with better positioning from rano/juan/andreolli to cover center, and d’ambrosio from left may allow medel to go a little forward too. The defense needs to move too, to close space between them and medel.
The problems are starting from the right back. Hence the movements between midfield and defense are not consistent and aggravating Guarin’s poor movement, since he has to cover lot of ground for others poor movement/mistakes, or win the ball for counterattack.
As for Guarin his passes to either flank at times, was probably because he spotted some little space for wingers, or defense slightly disorganized for the run of wingers. I don’t think his decision making is that bad in this regard. But it could be lot better.
nooo, ambrosio is terrible too. you can see how poldi being suffered from his pass? now i miss jonathan and yuto
This was what I was saying about D’ambrosio too! His runs weren’t bad, but crossing from the left not good enough. I have said about this in other posts too. Podolski did not get good service.
