Andre Pierre Gignac will leave Olympique de Marseille at the end of the season when his contract expires. There are a host of teams that want the striker on a bosman transfer such as Dinamo Moscow, Aston Villa, and Inter. Today Gignac’s agent, Jean-Christophe Cano, spoke to La Marsellaise about his client’s future:
“There has been ongoing talk about this. We are in a period of time in which we are told so many different things. All I can say is that I do not confirm any contact between us and Inter. We can no longer tell if what we are hearing is the truth or not. In the mercato you must keep calm and make the right decision.”

He’s not really a youngster any more and actuely he has only had one brilliant season; this one but still I would take him for free! he would be a great back up for Icardi!
One brilliant season? He has consistantly scored about 15 goals per season for the last 3 seasons lol.

Especially if Aston Villa and Dinamo Moscow are our only rivals (which I doubt will be the case, though, to be honest).
Ironically, though, Icardi staying could be a problem in that sense, because I don’t know if Gignac will agree to being second fiddle to anyone considering the season he’s been having. And frankly, in case Icardi is sold, I don’t think Gignac is good enough to be our #1 option in attack.
In any case, I think contact should definitely be made as soon as possible if Mancini likes the player, he should be presented with the project and Mancio should have a personal chat with him to show him his ideas, he’s been proven quite useful so far with Poldi, Shaqiri and even Lucas according to media.
Actually, I secretly still hope we can keep Osvaldo… he knows Serie A, speaks italian, already proven he can be a monster killer… Gignac will be FREE agent but his signing fee [+agent] could be close to Osvaldo’s redemption clause of 7m…
Why the fuck Mancini can take shit from Balotelli and Tevez for years, but when it comes to Osvaldo -who actually delievers- he cannot have a 2nd chance?! Big ego or butthurt.
