Salah goal is due to Handanovic mistake.
He have done the exact same mistake in the past i.e. parrying crosses to the area front of the goal, rather than the side of the goal. And the opponent’s scores with their follow up as Inter defences stood watching.. one of his few irritating weaknesses that surely will occurs again in the future.

We were far too slow taking it out of the back, our transitional play was appalling, Brozovic needs to be more central and take the ball deeper as he is one who can move the ball forward faster, Medel needs to look forward rather than sideways sometimes.

After last match I’m pretty sure Kovacic has mentality problems. He is so confuse and hesitate whether to pass or shoot.
I must say that i am very disappointed with Kovacic, 70 minutes on the pitch barely doing nothing. He is like a soldier with a gun get lost in the middle of battlefield, struggle with his own confusion to pull the trigger and start killing. Shaqiri found himself on the bench for years and he tired of it, he go out with different mentality to earn his place and he show it, in other side i saw same kova with same 20yo mentality.
We have lost and found under Mancini: The found is Guarin and The lost is Kovacic.
Kovacic need to help himself because he is no golden boy, everyone who did more they deserve to play. I have seen Mancio already give him everything it’s need to help, he got playing time, he got instruction and directions but the outfit still far from expectation, i think if he can’t make it, i am happy enough to see him on the bench.

Kovacic is not trequarista and that’s more than obvious, but Mancini still insist to play him there, where’s the piont? I’m sure that if wasn’t Thohir and Ausilio desire to build our new project around young talents and pressure of the coach, Kovacic will be sticking on the bench for whole season. And remember my words, if we don’t starting to learn from our mistakes Kovacic will be next Coutinho.

I’m blaming Mancini for this performance and for that we are 7 points behind Fiorentina, who occupied the last Europa League spot. This was very important game at our home against direct rival, who missed some important players and we have to show that we deserve and have quality for something more than 9th place, playing for nothing. We have to play brave, offensive, aggressive, pressing and seeking for the win from the first minute in front our fans. And in that case, nobody will be so much disappointed if in the end we missed luck and lose. Instead we was too cautious, too afraid to not concede, to not lose. We was extremely slow and predictable and wake up after we concede and understand that Fiorentina won’t be beating by themselves. I really can’t understand what Campagnaro continues to doing in the starting line up? What was those experiment with Podolski in such a important game? I will say this very slowly, read my lips : KOVACIC IS NOT TREQUARISTA! And it’s pointless force him to play there, only thing that is achieved is to killing his confidence. I won’t comment substitution D’Ambrosio for Santon in the end of the game, when you losing, playing against nine and desperately need goal. And excuse with need of rotation in one of the most important games to the end of the season is meaningless, because our next game against Napoli is after a week.

He plays him there, coz Kovacic loses the ball a lot in midfield.. sometimes its better to lose it up top than in the middle
And the best is to play where you feel comfortable and can be useful. You can see what is the difference with Gurain when he finds his best position and fell confidence, same with Shaqiri when was moved from wing to behind the strikers. When Kovacic feels comfortable and gain confidence he’ll not lose the ball so much and there’s defensive midfielder’s job in this case Medel, to covering he’s teammates mistakes. You just can’t win against quality teams if you don’t take any risks and Kovacic’s game can open any defense if is working properly.

Yes we didn’t deserve to lose but we are getting better… the development is slow, but much appreciated – imagine mancio taking over from the beginning of this season

Pirlo doesn’t get foward and he doesn’t try to dribble alot . Just enough to get out of hard situations having kovacic in front of the defense is too risky he can’t afford to lose the ball there

I’m not saying that Kovacic have to play in front of the defense, exactly the same like Pirlo did. All I’m saying is that Kovacic is not trequarista and if you, Mancini or anybody else doesn’t see it it’s his problem. Kovacic needs space to accelerate, dribble and make his trough balls and he can successfully doing that with defensive midfielder behind his back (Medel or someone better than him). Kovacic is 20 years old he needs time and patience, but most important is to feel comfortable on his position and to feel trust of the coach. Because for his game most important thing is to have confidence. Now that’s impossible to happen because of Mancini and in the result he looks lost.
there is no possible way that a whole team is built to accommodate kovacic style in . if he is to play as a central mid he needs to learn how to defend and have good positioning and if he is to play as trequarista he needs to learn how to shoot and control the ball better . to me i think he can work better as trequarista due to his great “”short passing “”. it’s a big possibility that mancini will use a 4-2-3-1 so kova can fit as a trequarista next to shaqiri and a new signing (left winger) .
