This summer will be the last one in which Inter can cash in on Samir Handanovic. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that Inter are struggling to renew the Slovenian’s contract. The Nerazzurri are not willing to increase Handanovic’s 2 million euros per year wages. Inter are prepared for Handanovic’s departure, which has sparked Ausilio to search for replacements. Mattia Perin, whose contract expires in 2017, is at the top of Inter’s list. Another name linked with Inter is Atalanta’s Marco Sportiello. This could be a realistic option due to Atalanta’s struggles so far this season. However, Sportiello recently renewed his contract with Atalanta until 2019.

Hmm am i the only one who didnt see any sentences mentioning handanovic’s price tag is 12m in the article. Besides I believe thohir is a good businessman and know how to make a deal.

Perin will cost more than this, it’s not really a feasible option, and we can’t rely on Carrizo to be the starter next season (think his contract is running out this summer too).

if he want to go than go…like inter players,fans dont want inter to play in CL…if i was in ausilio and thohirs place i would sold him to england,maybee arsenal…and than he will play CL but he will never win anything…im so dissapointed in him…he said that he will sing new concract if inter inwest in new players and fight for scudetto…inter is investing but what mazzari and branca did wrong ausilio and manchini cant change in few months…he is more than good goalkeeper but im guessing that he think that inter isnt good enough for him..and that makes me sad and agry at the same time

True. The point of selling Handanovic as far as we know from what the media have said so far is to make a sacrifice to raise some cash.
With 12 mil, we won’t be able to get another decent keeper, let alone invest in other areas of the squad that need attention.

I think the best option is to sell him to a BPL team for 15-17 MIL. And then sell kuz, hernanes, campa and palacio for another 17 MIL or so… then we’d have enough money for rebuilding our defence and buying a keeper + If we do advance in the europe league, we could be getting some decent money (but beating wolfsburg is going to be ridiculously hard)
Not sure I’d sell Palacio, maybe try to get him to lower his wage, but not aggressively. We can’t get any money out of him, not enough to get another decent forward.
But I’d sell Ranocchia. Also, get rid of Obi and the likes (Krhin etc.) permanently.
As much as I would like to sell Rano, I don’t think he would bring us a good sum of money and we need options in defence… even if it’s rano *shudders*

We were only 1 year after the treble when he signed so our lengthy dip could not have been forseen at that time. …
