Roberto Mancini has been decisive in Mauro Icardi’s renewal. This is what Mediaset Premium writes about the negotiations the last few months for Mauro Icardi’s renewal. According to the channel Mancini asked Thohir to make an economical sacrifice to give Icardi what he wanted and to reconstruct a winning Inter side that will be able to rely on Icardi. More than his 21 goals this season Icardi has shown will and desire to sacrifice himself to enter Mancini’s game plan. After a start that wasn’t perfect, Mancini and Icardi seem to have found perfect trust and it seems that the player that Inter might sacrifice will be Mateo Kovacic. The Croatian, in difference from Icardi never made it to make the jump in quality that Mancini had hoped for.

Icardi is very mature for his age – not often! Kova could be a late bloomer. If we have to sacrifice, it should be Handanovic – he can be sold for a nice amount 15-18m and also he wants UCL.
Sell Guarin+Kuz+Obi and get Yaya+Allan if possible. Keep Kova, Hernanes and Medel.
#savekovacic
hmmmm
The biggest problem is that we’ll sacrifice Kovacic, who’ll starting shine elsewhere like Coutinho. But probably few months later we’ll have to kick out Mancini if he continues to fail miserably. And where’s the point to give such a power to coach who’s future is so uncertain? If we have to sacrifice someone, there’s plenty of contenders who are not young talents like Kovacic and had much more years in the club to prove themselves. Ranocchia, Guarin, Nagatomo, Handanovic if he continues to refuse renewal, etc.
Jump in quality? How is that even possible if he doesn’t start much games or no work is done with him to help him develop? Players don’t just have jumps of quality, time is needed as well as a proper foundation…I call bs.This is Coutinho all over again.Apparently inter doesn’t understand that when a young player is brought in he isn’t going to magically become world class that takes time and trust, two things that Mancini has failed to invest in Kova..Oh well I hope that something changes for the better of Inter.
Yeeeeeeeeees 🙂
Keep icardi, sacrifice kova!
Brilliant!!! XD
Dunno what kova did to mancini…. probably had a little spat and mancio couldn’t take it as always… but good job on fighting for icardi… even though this is a rumor…
He did to Mancini what he was doing in the game with Milan – loosing stupid balls in the center midfield posotion. When he played upfront, he was no threat and had just a few glimpses of brilliance. I agree however that he may develop into a good player, nevertheless Icardi has responded better to the challange and is now a consistent performer.
