For renewing until 2019, Icardi will become the best payed player at Inter. His wages will pass from 800 000 euro’s to 2,5 million euro’s and the contract will contain bonuses that are said to be easy to reach. Also, Icardi will keep his image rights totally and more than that he will receive a one million euro’s bonus for the present season. During the night Thohir gave his ok for the deal and after a lunch with Moratti about his intentions with the team, Ausilio received the green light to finish the deal. 2,5m + bonuses? I think Icardi will be happy with this deal. At least for this career level (he’s still young and developing).
I don’t get the compensation bonus… but whatever it takes to keep him for 2/3 more years.
Good now we need to get rid of Guarin’s salary to compensate for this. I think Vidic and Palacio will stay till the end of their contracts and anyway we need their experience. They both started the season horribly but they’ve been quite good lately.
It’s a fair contract TBH. Guarin, Hernanes, Palacio and Vidic have a great salary while Icardi is Inter topscorer.
