The confirmations keep coming as both Alfredo Pedullà and Gianluca di Marzio have their say on the deal that seems to be taking Kondogbia to Inter. Pedullà just tweeted:
“Kondogbia, Inter is close.”
The expert also added:
“Getting Kondogbia doesn’t exclude Imbula. Soon there will be more details.”
Whilst Di Marzio wrote this:
“Inter is agreeing terms with Kondogbia, then they will talk with Monaco. The deal seems to be very close. Inter has planned Kondogbia’s medical on Monday and now the directors will meet Monaco.”
Di Marzio later tweeted:
“Inter has offered Kondogbia a five year contract and they want to get Imbula as well.”

I am really speechless, I dont what to feel really. It isn’t like shaqiri deal which is very brilliant. i am happy with kondo’s arrival, but at the same time I feel like we could spend that money better and it means kova’s departure is close. i know we also have agreed terms wil with OM regarding Imbula for about 19m plus bonus, but there are no concrete report that we wilL also take imbula after this kondo’s blitz. I hope we will have more extraordinary purchase in this mercato. Forza thohir 🙂

Is there any possibility that Medel will be sold? If we bring in Imbula and Kondogbia what is the point of having Medel… I acutally really like Medel and I think he has played very well and has improved but 3 DM no need for that. His current value is 10mill (euro) so we sell for like 16mill, double our investment.
for back up.. we don’t know what will happen when the season start.. player may get injury, tired or even red card. so we need a solid subs too..

Every big club has only 20-22 players in the squad. We, on the other hand have 27-28 players and next season we will play only in serie A. No need for medel anymore. if we can get an 15 mil for him we should sell him. Backup we will have Gnoukouri and Brozovic. So if we will have to let go some players to raise money for those transfers, i prefer letting go of medel and keep kove.
brozo always make me worry when he play.. he always got yellow card, some time he looks so clumsy with his tackle.. medel in other hand, can be realy usefull, he can play as a cb as well.. but i agree with you we have to sell.. but i will happy if medel stay..

I’m torn the more I read about the two possible transfers. Imbula is similar to Kondogbia but is better in attack while Kondogbia is better in defense. They both have similar frame and are same age, and apparently both have great potential….This could potentially set us up for greatness or failure. Add to the possibility that Kovavic might be sold.

damn whats wrong with u guys? right now our management killed off galliani and co. in 2 deals (kongdobia and also imbula) and u are crying that we could spend those money better. no we couldnt. now when we have got handa and improved defence, 2 new powerhouses in midfield we need just one winger and one vice-icardi and we had best mercato since i remember. kondo and imbula arent the same type of players although people can be mistaken, kondo is defensive shield like medel and imbula is box to box mid like guarin for example. i want to keep kova, but if his departure will help to make greater inter after those two signings in midfield it shouldnt be so painful for us

Biabiany already joined as a substitute winger. Now we get Salah or someone like him and we’re done. Hard to imagine Kovacic staying with all those players coming in. Perhaps we won’t sign Imbula to keep Kova.. We’ll see.

i really like kova but when u look at situation with mancini eyes there really isnt any suitable place for kova in 4-2-3-1 formation. only maybe in 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1 beside kondo and imbula or guarin. and we also need to sell someone for ffs and when player cant contribute with 100% to the game plan we really should start auction and sell him for the highest bid

Exactly.. I think Kova will be shine in EPL, since he can dribbling pretty fast and make a move for a counter attack. The game in EPL is more open than Seri A. The bad things, we will feel a bad feeling as when we lose Coutinho. In case, Kova rise and shine in his new club in EPL (if he will sold to EPL club). 🙁

not exactly, we have 3 midfielders that could be sold, Guarin, Hernanes and Kuzmanovic. All them could give Inter about 25-30 mill. As well Thohir said that he will invest some money and from his wallet, So it is not necessary for every player we buy, to sell one.

I was thinking, what if we put Kova as left winger? Kind of what David Silva position in ManCity.
mancini try it before.. but kova look so bad in that position.. :), and then he try to play him behind the striker, but he still not showing convincing performance.. maybe he should play as a center midfield.. but to play in center midfield,he should reduce his dribling, and make more short passing to open up the opposition deffence just like pirlo did..
Yes, I saw his performance in that position last season. I just wondering, if Mancini will make Rano sweat in this summer, to be able to adapt with his formation. Why not he did it also to Kova? But, yes, I do agree with you. Kova is pretty bad as left winger and trequatista last season. 🙁
i think mancini put him on the bench to motivate him to do better.. mancini see kova as inter future, so he try to take off every pressure that create by our fan.. our fan sometime gave him to much pressure by treating him like messi..

I seriously doubt inter will keep kova after kondogbia(35 mill) and Miranda (15mill).. Grand total of 50 mill. obviously inter need wingers so as you mentioned someone like Salah that at least another 15-20mill but probably it’s going to be loan with an obligation to buy end of season. After these signing I am strongly predicting at least 5-6 players leaving for sure other than players contract ended like Felipe, campganaro and Jonathan.
As for Miranda, it’s not a purchase but loan for 2 years (3mil/year) and Inter has to buy at the end of loan for 12.5mil. Source: DiMarzio

I don’t understand why we need both Kondogbia and Imbula. I understand that they are both holding midfielders, is that correct?
if so are we going to be playing a 4-2-3-1? Probably with Shaqiri pushed to the wing and Kovacic playing behind the striker. I’m not sure.
What about our other midfielders? Like Brozovic who we just signed or Medel.
kova didnt contribute really well behind striker in 4-2-3-1 cos he needs run into opponents lines and then pass to wing or behind deffence to icardi and if i was mancini i would choose to that system medel and kondo as dms over kova any time 🙁

We are painful with potential Kova leave because we are funs not business people.
I want to stress two things:
1. Mancini has played Guarin as if he is the backbone of Inter the whole past season, full time play no matter good or shit performance. Kova was benched most of the season. At the end, as a matter of fact, Kova is the most valued inter player in market and Guarin is impossible to sell. In the last 3 games Guarin couldn’t play and Kova started to shine as in the 2013-14 season. This is Mancini’s result. How can we trust him that Kova shouldn’t be in inter’s plan? Mancini has no clue for a season. The excitements of Pod, Shaq and Brozo quickly become redundant as well.
2. When the club sells funs beloved players, you say we should be controlled by mind not heart, and do the calculations. If with this big spending at high coat and we still can not reach ECL, you want us use our heart or mind? Using mind, give us a reason to keep supporting. If we don’t emotionally bind to every single player that is contributing to the club, how come we become emotionally bond with the club?
let’s bag Imbula too, and our midfield is set for the next 7-8-10 years
I like this signing but damn, the reports are saying something about 30-35 million. I think we could have spent that money better.

while it’d incredible to get both imbula and kondogbia that’d mean we have 3 strong holding midfielders in both of the new guys and Medel. Plus a lot of other midfielders and no wide players bar Shaq and Palacio. surely we could spend a bit more sensibly here?
I mean Kondogbia – Kovacic – Imbula is as good as the midfield gets tbh. we’d hopefully keep hernanes and medel and 1 other midfielder but the rest would need to be sold.
