A few days before the start of his new adventure with Aston Villa, English defender Micah Richards, who was at Fiorentina last season, has revealed that he said no to the proposal of Inter.
Here is what the 27 year old had to say in an interview with Eurosport:
“There were many clubs interested in me but having not played much at Fiorentina, I thought it was right to go home.”
“I had contact with Inter and Mancini, who tried to bring me to Milan as early as January but it didn’t happen.”
“Then I talked with him about next season but I had already decided to return to England.”

British players are afraid to go abroad. I think one of the reasons their football and more accurately their national team is in decline.
England product mostly failed abroad… Fact…
Not wanted in City and a sub in Fiorentina. How does the management come up with these transfers?
It’s because Mancini is in love with him for their days together in City. Just like he was in love with Yaya. Thank god we avoided both of them though. We got younger and better players instead.
Oh nooo… We missed out! 🙁
he was our target ? for real ?
Yay
He was a free agent. Inter should sign him, better than pay almost 10mi for Montoya. Another free agent is Guidetti, that is close to sign with Celta…
Never wanted you anyway.
and for that… we thank you…. thank you
