Also Inter keeps negotiating for Ivan Perisic, the player has agreed a deal with Inter and according to Sky the agreement between Inter and Wolfsburg is close to arrive. Inter could buy Perisic straight away if they sell Xherdan Shaqiri who is currently valuing offers from Stoke and Schalke.

Jovetic and Perisic ae better than Shaqiri. But imho, Shaqiri is just bad! WIth him we just did a BAD deal, paying 15 mln a player with 6 months contract left, who was never playing. Ok, he needs time to adapt Serie A, ok, he needs to be fit, but i never saw him make the difference. Wrong passes, ball stops,goal attempts.. i think he was barely able to dribble someone. If it’s true we have been offered 17mln for him.. that’s a big opportunity! He did not show anything, in my opinion if a player is skilled he shows it! It bothers me a lot that it is Mancini who wants shaqiri and even called him to join Inter himself. I just dont understand, we can just buy jovetic which is relatively cheap (loan and 3 years installment) and let shaqiri stay. Jovetic can play in left and amc, shaqiri in right and amc as well.. why he’s so insist on getting perisic which is going to need more time to adapt again in compare to shaqiri. Moreover, shaqiri has more promise than perisic in talent And future sale.
Now I understand the strategy of Roberto Mancini and it s not that bad. Get two wingers (4 3 3 main formation) that can play as attacking midfielders as well (just in case if he wants to play 4 3 1 2). So he wants to get the fastest possible deals – Perisic and Jovetic which is not a bad idea because Salah’s deal is too complicated. As a consequence Shaqiri will have to leave because he will not be happy to be on the bench and on the same time to get some money because we spent a lot and apparently we want to keep Kovacic which is perfect. In this way Palacio will be back up to Perisic on the left and Biabiny will be back up on the right for Jovetic. This is why we are looking for a cheap vice Icardi as well.
So, Shaqiri will have to leave again otherwise he will be on the bench again (this is why he left Bayern – he wanted to play, but as things stay now – Jovetic and Perisic are way better than Shaqiri).
Don’t get me wrong I want Shaqiri to stay, too, but it seems that he is not in our strategy anymore. Look from the positive side – we will keep KOVACIC and will get two outstanding players – JOJO and PERISIC.

But Mou’s formation had one thing that this line-up is lacking: MOTTA! I find it very hard to see, who will be that same link between defense and attack. Kondogbia? Maybe in time, but for now I don’t now. IMO this is still a “cheap copy” of that formation from 5 years ago. Milito was way more efficient, Sneijder on a completely different level than Kova (for now) and E’too was also
a hell lot better than Shaq and added instant quality to the squad.
That being said, I think this formation you put together can grow and become a winning-machine.

I know we all are hopping Inter keeps Shaquiri. But, we only see what happen in the pitch in some games. We don’t get to see what happens in the dressing room, in training, and behind door discussions. I think Shaquiri is a fantastic player, and personality wise he seems to be a very matured and well behaved. But, maybe there is something that Mancini or Inter managment doesn’t or didn’t like about him. RM is a world class coach who has coached many top players, so I am going to give him some credit. If he wants Shaquiri to leave, well so be it. I just hope we make some money in the deal. I dont recall anybody saying that Guardiola was crazy or an asXXXe when they sold Shaquiri, maybe Shaquiri just doesn’t follow directions and wants to run the show by himself and that could be a problem. Why are we forcing Shaq to leave? A trident of Perisic — Icardi — Shaq would be something to be feared by all of Serie A and even most of Europe. That front three would be a goal scoring hydra with Kondogbia, Medel, Brozo, Kova, Hernanes, Guaro (should he stay), and whatever other mid we buy this summer all backing them up. We’d be damn near unstoppable. But instead we’ll sell shaq and then have the injury laden Jovetic (who I like but, injuries) and Palacio (who I like but, age) to play up top with them and that wouldnt be as fun to see.
