Nice match to watch. Inter still need to build for up front and the left back position. Its like what already evolve in this forum, we need 2 winger to open the space and create the game play. I think the way the team to defend is already there. Its a match to see how the defends system improve. The weak point in my opinion is Rano and Di Marco. In Rano, he need to improve his decision making, while Di Marco due to the lack of experience.
However, I do agree with the article from ESPN on Rannochia. He got the capability to be a good defender, but he got a big enemy on himself: the decision making. While this is crucial in italian football. Otherwise he should fix this problem, or it is better for him to pack his suitcase. Let’s enjoy the sun. 🙂

First, Bayern are miles ahead of us in preparation in this pre-season. We have only played two games before this one, no player has played a whole game in this pre-season. Bayern stifled our midfield with their Barca-like pressing. We are still a month from the start of the Serie A season, we are in good shape. My personal view is that our new players are getting on well and yes Montoya had a decent game. Rano still need prays and I see that he would be spending a lot of time on the bench with Juan Jesus. We need 2 supporting strikers who could play on the wing and a left back. DiMarco is a good prospect but he needs to be loaned for experience.
Yes, I was thinking to use Di Marco as sub, and we can sell D Ambo + Nagatomo.

Inter players have no pressure to against Bayern. Seems like they are all tired. Icardi and Palacio didn’t get ball supply from Kondogbia and Brozovic, only Kovacic. Murillo and Rannochia play good. Kondogbia should help Dimarco defense on the left flank. Kovacic or Murillo 1st half MOTM.
Good thing is now we can play deeper with Kova and Kodongbia. Kova is really good looking for positioning when playing deeper and Kodongbia is superb holder. The problem now is how to deliver the ball to striker. Hernanes and Brozovic kinda confuse to create the game whereas the striker down deepper to midfield. That is why mancini desperete looking for outside player
Nice analysis. I do agree with you. When I saw the match, I am wondering if Mancini got 2 winger and exploit the flank to create the space and stretch the Bayern defender. It will be good. But since, we played with 2 strikers and the lack of winger, we push one of the striker to exploit the flank and left only one striker in the box.

this 1st half just shows that we are still not there mentally because i think this is a mental problem,we ar at least capable of challenging any team out there.
This is the 1s real test and it means nothing more than a experience to our players that are playing for the first time together in/under new formastion/tacticks.
We are in the right track so guys be optimistic even though ther isn’t much optimism.
And don+t forget that Bayern are playing together now for a few yrs and we finished 8th last season,but we are reaching for the top little by little.

you need to take into perspective who the opposition was and how far they are ahead in their preparation. We were not in shape and prepared to beat Bayern as we are stilling building with players still missing
Mancini needs to switch kondo’s og kova’s position. Why not use kondo where he can fill a much needed void? and kova is better offensive than defensive.

Bayern was a team with significant style of play(they didn’t change their tactic randomly), so basically he knew what he should do.

I just share my view, it’s not about the players, it’s about tactical aspect.
You can have best tactic in the world but with shitty players it does not matter you will see when season starts and how it will finish.After two weeks of preparation you cant expect miracles

It’s bayern, we know how bayern like to play and i believe Mancini know about it. I didn’t expect we win the game, i also know we’ll lose possession, but i just can’t accept our display eventhough this all was just friendly match. The clue was “confusion” on the pitch…
This sign tell me that every single players didn’t know their job and what their responsible for, they didn’t know how to built attack from defensive setup, they didn’t know positioning, movement, zonal playing, and transformation between defend -> attack (and vice versa)…
Eventhough we have some new players, but we know they already play football in their whole life, very little chance they got confuse by something they’re doing everyday.
Thats why i say this is not about players… It’s something deeper… For me the problem were tactical aspect 1st, style of play 2nd, mentality and players 3rd. Point 1 and 2 were coming from the coach, thats why i have more concern about Mancini.
Bayern finished 1. In bundesliga we finished 8. In serie A and then bayern beat our primavera squad so hard and first i would say that Bayern do not know what to do with the ball like all teams coached by Guardiola

If what you said is the problem, then it should actually affect the entire team, but i don’t see it as problems for Handa, Icardi, Medel, even Kovacic, and so on was doing good until last season is ended no matter how poor the team performances is.. I got your point. But I think its due to how Mancini want to implement 4-3-3 and make the player understand the game play. It is not the squad to implement Mancini football yet. So, I think at the mid of August, we will solve ‘the problem’ that u mention above. Overall, great concentration of the team when they defend. Except, some occasions error from Rano, Juan, and Di Marco.
