Mateo Kovacic is a new Real Madrid player and the Croatian talked to Inter Channel to salute the Interisti:

I don’t know what to say, I’m sorry but at the same time I’m happy, Real Madrid only comes for you once in a lifetime and for me they’ve come at such an early stage. But I need to thank everyone for the love I have received at Inter.
A special moment? When I signed, a team like Inter came to get me at such a young age. It has been two difficult years and seasons that haven’t been great. I will keep Inter in my heart, but I’m happy to join a team like Real Madrid. Stankovic and Modric? I will leave Deki. I’m sorry for everyone and the transfer came at the end of the mercato. Amazing talent, but most important great guy! You can’t buy class, either you have it or don’t! As i said many times before, there’s things that are not for sale and there’s most important things, than money! You can’t buy Facchetti, Bergomi, Zanetti! You can’t buy love of the fans! I’m sorry that is the way we say goodbye to Mateo, forcing him to leave. And made him feels unappreciated. But I’m sure that everything good is in front of him and he will have incredible career! We all wish that but that would be selfish of us, I hope we can get him back but maybe as a champion would be better than a flop or bench warmer. If he succeeds, we also succeed because we gave him this chance and helped him progress, we should be pray for him to win win win! Maybe we can return to our elite status and get him to play with us again and get some of his friends too 😛

He’s right you know. The reason why everybody is sad, including me, is because we know he’ll be an awesome player and we were just waiting to see that at Inter, but that’s never going to happen now.
He is the player we want but not the player we need! Thanks for everything Kova even after you leave we will still benefit from your transfer fee, hopefully the management doesn’t screw up again
This guy will always be my favorite future superstar, what a professional. Absolute class and respect from this gentleman and to be honest. He wanted to become a legend in Inter and accepted that his goal is to make struggling Inter into perfect Inter but when the team accepts a bid for you, there are two things to be thought either the team accepted the offer because they don’t want you or they need money and they got a lucrative offer, and in this case it was the latter. He accepted risking his future by leaving Inter who will play him as a first team player to joining Real Madrid to become a rotation player just to help Inter get funds and buy the players they need. I know I might be defending him too much but from his press conferences it is evident that he didn’t want to leave Inter sadly Inter management wanted him to leave for the money. Also he isn’t a die-hard fan of Inter before he came but he loved Inter and when he gets a chance to move to a more better side, why reject it if the your club already accepted the offer. My last message to Kova is “Kovacic you are an inspiration and one of my favorite players, ever since you joined Inter, I was inspired by you and your playing style, I won’t regret it and hopefully my fellow Interistas will not regret it when hopefully you win trophies and become the superstar of Real Madrid. I hope you win trophies and personal awards especially the Balon D’or, You are always welcome in Inter and you are not branded as a failure in Inter, We will all support you in your good times and in your bad times. Show Real what an Interista can do!”

Thanks mate, I just was very angry at the management and with Kova because he accepted going there and hoped he would flop in Real so that we won’t regret it, but that was very selfish of me to think of holding back Kova like that, he is an awesome player and deserves better because the management didn’t trust him and so fans too. and after that speech he showed that he loves Inter and is truly sad to leave and that is why I want him to succeed because succeeding would make Inter proud becasue he played with us and we developed his potential into something great and we will be proud of him just like we are proud of the phenomenal Ronaldo and I know he will not dissappoint us. (but ofcourse I’m still angry of the board for not planning ahead and getting great targets to replace him)
I will always support Kova and his departure hurts more than anybody else in the last years… Initially I wanted him to flop because then it would be a chance for his return, but it would be selfish from me 🙁 I can’t get over it… It’s just stupid move. Should have stayed longer and shine/”explode” in our shirt! Then there would have been a bidding war for him, not 28-35m only!!! Too soon, look at what juBe is doing with Pogba: rejected 80m bid for him, while developing and milking him! Hate to say it but they are doing it right.

Good post man. Kovacic did the same thing as Kaka did for Milan. Right after winning UCL in 2007, Milan sold Kaka to RM just for money and trying to get out of financial difficulties. Kaka did not want to leave his beloved club, but for the sake of Milan, he respected the decision made by Milan’s management. Kovacic story reminds me Kaka’s story, but I really hope that Kova to become a key player at Real because he was such a patient guy who was trying to do his best for Inter. The problem at Inter is its management and coach who do not care about whether to lie or not to public. It was painful to see Kovacic leaving (I never expected Thohir and Mancini to sell him), but let’s be united and let’s be a true Interista.

Well said.. even sneijder did not say a warm good bye to he fans. I respect kova attitude inside and outside the field. I wish he got what his dream of. And what we have to do is still pray for inter for this season successful. Kova is darling for almost all interisti, but we need to move,not easy but we have too. Thank you kova, I will miss you hard like I miss strama will coming back inter someday.

Coutinho top talent? Liverpool did not even make the champ League. And “the real Ronaldo” was paid by Inter for 4 years while injured and then demanded a transfer when he got fit.

Agree. I just hate Inter’s historical and current transfer policies because they always treat young talents badly. They hate their primavera stars. They are against Italians and young stars! We treated Pirlo, Seedorf, Coutinho, Kovacic, Vieri very badly.
