It seems like everything is done for Perisic to join Inter. Gazzetta dello sport reports that the only thing missing now is the official announcement. After the meeting between Fassoe and Klaus Allofs yesterday, the two clubs found an agreement for the price of the player which will be around 18 million euro’s together with bonuses. It seems like Inter will buy the player straight away, but that what’s missing before the deal can be announced is the dates and how the money will be payed. The fact that the German directors have already returned to Germany is a signal that the negotiations are very close to be concluded.

i see him play at dortmund.. he was very good.. he can play almost in every position.. from LM,RM,CM,AM,LWF,RWF,SS, or even play as number 9.. and most importantly, he involve in most of wolfsburg goal last season.. we can say that he was very important to them last season..

I’m having the impression many interisti think perisic is some kind of saviour, yet that’s not his game style, for that I don’t think he was worth the wait of 2 or so months of negotiations, especially for a ridiculous fee that were paying. Someone like pedro or feghouli (just said robben as an example) or even lavezzi (yes he is old) have that X factor and those first 2 names are more suited to the price tag

it’s modern football dude, market value doesn’t always reflect upon actual value. You’d have to count the agent’s fee, remaining length of contract, medical and work permit expenses, and so on and so forth.

If we could get another winger, it would be perfect. Playing something like this, we have a creative attacking force that can also work alongside wings(no longer limited to central play and have problems breaking down locked down teams), a very tough defensive midfield and a very solid defense. Also, the idea of JJ at LB is not very lucrative, but after Coentrao, Kurzawa and such targets all moved, we are left with Criscito, Ansaldi, Siqueira and such, and to be honest, JJ is younger and is sligthly improving, so I wouldn’t trade him for any of these targets. Also, maybe Gnou instead of Medel, Montoya instead of Santon and so on, all depends on form.
We even have squad depth after this, and can afford to lose a player or two in each departement:
ATTACK: Palacio, Biabiany, Manaj, (OH GOD WHY) Schelotto
MIDFIELD: Hernanes, Guarin, Brozović, Gnoukouri, Taider
DEFENSE: Dimarco, Vidić, Andreolli, Ranocchia, D’Ambrosio, Dodo, Nagatomo, Montoya

Sell schelotto, vidic and danilo and we are set. I do love the idea of having lamela, but it might be too much either for santon or montoya to defend individually as lamela doesnt have good reputation to track back, while perisic is more eager to helps defense.
Also having perotti or eder might be useful than having extra players in defensive parts, my choice would be naga, cause we still have dodo, di marco and maybe siqueira. If naga to be sold in order to get siqueira, then Rano is next in line.
Like I said, we can afford to lose some players in each departement. I would get rid of Schelotto, Vidić and D’Ambrosio or something like that.

Yeah, we will most likely pay for Perišić now so the money is pretty scarce. I think we can play for Lavezzi on his age and remaining contract to bring the transfer fee down to like 5 million. There were rumours that he would drop his salary to about 4 million, which is about what some of our top earners make now. This would be a good option IMO.
Making a 30 year old player one of our top earners is not a good idea, we saw that with Vidić only he was a year older. I think he’s gonna decline rapidly over the next few years when he loses his speed and then we will be stuck with his huge wage.
If he would be ready to lower his demands to 2.5 mil a year then bring him if not then fuck him, he has already been talking about retiring, who knows how motivated he’ll be now or in a year time.

You can’t just have young guys in the team, we need more experience around the starting line up, especially in the attack where an experienced mind would be much needed, he has the X factor on the wing. Perisic does not have the same X factor, he’s solid and good but not that kind of player. That’s why someone like lavezzi is needed.
Like I said, I’m not against him if he would agree to a reasonable wage.

A club like Real Madrid never sign players above 28 years old for various reasons such as developments and resale value. Inter due to keep doing that first policy now has lot of deadwoods they cannot get rid of. At least if you want to pay for a 30 years old be sure he’s really really worth it. Lavezzi is known as a headless chicken. All stamina and no brain. He’ll be soon another Palacio. All run, no brain, high wage, and hard to get rid of. Once he lose his stamina which is very likely due to his age he’s pretty much a lost cause. I’m 100% against signing Lavezzi unless it’s only a loan deal. Perotti is 3 years younger. A pretty significant gap between him and Lavezzi. So yeah, not close to his age at all. With Inter formula, pluas adding some players in the deal this can be done.
The best and most realistic target after Perisic arrival would be Perotti. Lavezzi is 30 years old with high wage. Lamela is just too expensive.
Perotti isn’t exactly much younger and Lavezzi is better / more experienced IMO. Also, Perotti’s transfer fee would be about double as much as Lavezzi, and Lavezzi is willing to make a huge cut in his salary. We will see bro, but out of these two, I would prefer Lavezzi.
