After Inter’s 1-1 draw against Sampdoria, Roberto Mancini spoke to Mediaset Premium:
“At first we allowed them to counter 2-3 times, which led to their goal, but we did better in the second half. We improved a lot and it could have finished 2-1 in our favor. Samp dropped deep, and we pushed forward because we did not want to settle for a draw. Biabiany brought width to the attack, and the two wingers helped change the game.”
The tactician was then asked about Ivan Perisic’s performance:
“He started out in the middle, but then he moved to the left. He has the ability to do so because he is a very versatile player. I know that Perisic is a natural winger, but he is not at 100%, and we also have Biabiany. Kondogbia? He is recovering from a physical problem, and I took him off because Felipe told me that he was not feeling well. Geoffrey can do better, and he is still used to playing with another center-forward. Now he does not have a lot of space. I think we deserved to win, but neither Kondogbia or Guarin committed to the attack enough. Geoffrey will improve. Why did Ljajic come on so late? Murillo was having a problem and I thought that I made a mistake. We had a good game, especially in the second half. We got a point, and it was important not to lose.”
