After playing the full match against Sampdoria, Inter defender Jeison Murillo spoke to Inter Channel about the match:
“We should have won this game, and we are upset we did not. Now, we have to settle for a point. It was a difficult match because they had very fast players who were difficult to mark. Spanish football is a lot less tactical, and I am always trying to improve day by day. We lacked urgency on the ball, and the pitch was very crowded.”

Mancini is as stubborn as the previous coach when it come to change
Inter tactic mid-game (or quickly) when its clear the opponent’s
‘cowardice’ tactic is nullifying our tactic. I was left fuming as even
my youngest (3 years old daughter) could see that our tactic / game plan
is ‘working for Samp’ rather than for us.
Their’s
reminds me of one of Mou’s standard tactic of soaking up the pressure
and hit them hard on the counter. Rarely failed to instigate the
opponent to left a gaping hole at the back.
When Mancio finally
change our tactic, its evident that the game quickly become more
positive for us (as Icardi become involved) but it is a little too late,
and we only managed to claw a draw for a certain defeat.
A
draw ain’t bad given the circumstances (as some people had pointed out)
but if the tactic was changed earlier, we surely have better chances to
make a winning comeback or winning the game without even conceding
Muriel’s goal (goal from counter attack).
The thing is, this new
team need to win exactly this sorts of game in order to nurture,
instill or obtain the mentality of champion.
If the team
themselves accept that the draw as not bad or fair result, this indicate
that mentally, the whole team and Mancini included, either doesn’t have
champion’s mental characteristics or failed to exhibit it when needed.
Please improve fast. Mancio need to be braver and take risk a bit earlier.
Have faith in yourself and your players, Mancio.
you are a fighter.. I am not worried about you, Medel, Melo, Pericis, Telles, Santon, Kondo, and Icardi.. I am worried about Mancini’s over conservative game play and lack of reaction when needed..
