Ex Inter defender Marco Andreolli has been speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport about his time at Inter under Roberto Mancini including the incident when the defender cleared a ball into touch which hit the Inter coach in the face and knocked him off his feet.
“He said he wouldn’t let me play anymore, and he was true to his word (laughs). Jokes aside, we all had a good laugh about it in the dressing room.”
“My relationship with him was excellent, he always kept me in consideration. I made my Serie A debut with him, as well as those in the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.”
“I was even the captain. Every time I was about to leave Inter, he always told me to stay. He always showed interest in me.”

Andreolli should have stayed, the only one in Mancini era who left Inter which I coundn’t explain, low salary, didn’t complain about not playing much, and every time he played it was good, none serious mistakes, hope he’ll come back…
He always mean and cynical, and also not easy to be provocated. Inter captain material that have Inter in his heart.
cant understand why he leave..
He could’ve been a great captain…
