One of Inter’s long term targets has been Napoli’s Dries Mertens. However, the Partonopei are not in favor of letting any player join the Nerazzurri easily. Today Sport Mediaset reported that there could be a swap between Dries Mertens and Juan Jesus. The Belgian is not a starter, and is currently a “super-sub” at Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli. Juan could be useful for Napoli, as they lack depth in defense, and Ivan Strinic has not convinced Maurizio Sarri yet.

I think we need to keep JJ. The Frog needs to go and our FBs keep getting hurt. So JJ is one of the only players that can step in and play CB & FB… We need to keep him until the end of the season, and then decide if we want to trade him. IMO I would like for him to stay though.
We have enough quality attacking players. There are other teams that are doing more with less. Mancini needs to figure it out, that’s why he gets paid… But we are missing a solid MF or Kondo needs to transform more into a box to box MF.
Wouuld be great if Kondo can play like Matuidi

Juan is a true Interista, he surely plays for the Shirt. I dont know if i want to let him go.
As a left back I regained my faith in him a bit. I don’t think this deal will happen tho, since Napoli isn’t easy to deal with.
The last two games where nagatomo back on starting line up, while the obvious defense duo are murillo+miranda, plus there’s still medel and Rano in CB and Teles in LB, actually means that JJ need lot more to prove. While Mertens, excluding injury record, is proven starter. However, mertens is tend to operate better in left wing as do perisic although they both quite versatile. With that in mind, Rano for Iturbe is more favourable.
if he loves the club, he should leave the club then. he’ll help the club alot more than staying.

I agree with Jackabood that Mertenes would be very useful for Inter, but I don’t agree that Juan should be the price for this to happen. Juan is great player still to mature his game.
However, knowing that we have to turn some players in order to get new one then I can see Juan actually leaving Inter, because he can bring a decent amount of money. Its Juan, Brozovic, Guarin who can bring 10-15mil. And maybe Rano if we sell him in England.
I like the other version better. Rano plus another 10 mil for Candreva!! 🙂
fans need to leave emotions out of things. juan is damn near 25 years old. that’s not young in today’s terms. hummels captained dortmund at the champions league Final at that age and there are 18 year olds who have performed more consistently at the highest level of football

He’s 3 years younger than captain frog means he’s still young, and since the times at Inter he’s been mentored by no other than this silly frog himself, no wonder that he became unstable, now he got better mentor in Miranda, he’ll develop better I’ve said it many times.. At least another full season is a decent chance for him..
i see, if you using ranos age as standard to define “young” then JJ will always young. but until now i cant find any team who have U25 categorize, i only know theres team U23, U21, U20, U19, U17. in other word, player beyond 23, will play for senior team. if we want to develop or invest in young player maybe we should look di marco or any other player whos U23.
