Roberto Mancini seemed happy enough after last night’s friendly tournament, the inaugural Trofeo San Nicola where Inter beat Bari 2-0 before losing against Milan 1-0.
“It was important mainly for those, like Guarin, who’ve played less. Also, Palacio got a few minutes and that’s a positive aspect.”
“We tried to play our football but in an event like this the most fundamental thing is to have fun and to get minutes. Mihajlovic won the derby? We’ll see who wins the return derby in the league. [smiles].”

Lol mancini is savage “we’ll see who wins in the league”
No problem with the tournament… But what stupid ass timing… Especially as these teams did jack-shit during past 2 international breaks.
What do you mean? Both teams had tons of players who around the globe in order to participate in games with their national teams!
Yes.. But how many of those players who were called to International Duty played in that tournament ??? Two ?
Which was the hole idea with this tournament in Bari; letting those who didn’t play much for neither their national team nor their clubs get some minutes in their feet!
Sigh… Please go back and read my original comment where I stated I have no problem with the tournament … just the timing of it and that it takes Mancini away a day unnecessarily from the 1st team before such an important game vs Napoli.
sigh… the timing of it is part of why we’re partaking in the tournement. lmfao

Don’t see any problems in letting the so called first team players have a day or two off and letting the reserves play a game A HOLE WEEK before we face Napoli! I mean Milan played in Bari as well but they are playing this Saturday but we ain’t playing untill Monday so Mancini will have 4 hole days with the squad to prepare for this one game!
