After the strong statements of Mancini about the Quarrel after the 90th minute between the nerazzurri coach and Maurizio Sarri, the coach of Napoli spoke to Rai Sport about the subject: “I was agitated by the decision on Dries Mertens, he complained about the added time and I thought it wasn’t enough. For me these are things that start and finish on the pitch, this is one of many classic quarrels in football. I did not realize I said something, I quickly apologized. I think that tomorrow he will accept my apology and I expect the same from him. Men of sport must accept these things and finish them. I don’t remember what I said. I was angry and he may have been offended, but it must end there”.
“I’m 60 years old, the years I have are already weighing me down – continued Sarri as he commented on the words of Mancini -. A quarrel on the pitch lasts for about ten seconds and then must finish. It was an insult born from anger, with no ulterior motives. I don’t have a problem with Mancini, the words escaped me because I was agitated by the sending off of Mertens. I lost lucidity, it seemed a strong injustice. It is debatable as to whether or not it was a penalty, but you can not give a yellow card for simulation. Even the length of added time seemed too short, given how the game was broken up”.
“Homophobic insults? There were no ulterior motives – concluded the former Empoli coach -. There was tension, something on the pitch could escape. It is a life that works this way, but everything must finish there. I do not know why Mancini would be offended in that way. It’s become a thing that has escaped the pitch, I would not have done this. I accept that another person may think otherwise. Every offense is unfortunate, but I do not think that it had to leave the field. I apologized to him in private, I can’t do much more than that. I will repeat it tomorrow, it seemed to me like any old quarrel on the field. There were tones that are not to be used in the absolute way, but on the pitch I have heard and seen the worst. Under stress these things can happen, I hope that Mancini with a cool head will change his mind. There was no discrimination, I apologise to any homosexuals if I used those kinds of words”.

Things that start and finish on the pitch be supposed related with football itself…
Peoples can’t be lied by playing words…
He showed us who really he is…
Disgusting…
Forza Internazionale…
I dont know if his words are true or just trying to escape from the ban
I’m not going to defend him, I don’t know what he said exactly. But being “politically correct” these days is enforced by laws that are borderline facist. Things like that happen when intense emotions take play. I myself have called Chiellini a fag a dozen times during every Inter – Juve game. I don’t care if he is a gay or not, it’s a word I use when someone pisses me off to a boiling point.
That’s fine in ur living room but if you are a public figure, you just can’t afford to say such things. The media will grind on you. We live in a very sensitive world today.
Yeah, they’re public figures and are supposed to be role models and etc, but this is something that happens every day in our relations. Denying it on TV and banning it with draconian laws just makes it worse IMO. I’m sure Mancio and Sarri will make up and shake hands and forget about it, while the media blows it out of proportions.
When you called chiellini a fag or whatever to insult him, he didn’t hear your insult and in your case, he didn’t realized that you insulted him. Now you imagine that if chiellini heard you called him a fag, is he will ok with that? or he will run to you and smack you on your face? Same case with mancini sarri inciddent here. Mancini heard sarri called him a fag and he didn’t like it at all.
I didn’t say he should like it, ofc he has every right to jump at Sarri. I’m just saying that those are things that happen. Intense emotions cause people to overreact and say offensive shit. It’s human nature. Sometimes we react faster than we process our own thoughts. But Sarri and Mancio will most likely shake hands and forget about it while the press and society blow up and call for divine justice.
See that’s the thing، it is not fine? People just don’t think much about how ridiculous this kind of slurs is. Let’s say one of these tattooed manly men who chucks beer and hand wrestle in the bar while calling others faggots, had the blessing of having a boy or a girl that he loved to pieces, and they turn gay. He continues to love them the same. Put only then he realizes what a douche he used to be. It isn’t right!!
There are plenty of slurs people use when angry and frustrated but calling someone a “nigga”, “fag”, “midget” etc is not an insult. It’s promoting racism, discrimination and aggression. The fact that many people use these words, even if they don’t “mean it”, doesn’t make it OK. Sarri’s ignorant behavior should provoke you to realize that using these word in your living room is wrong, instead of trying to justify it because you’ve done it too. Forza Inter!!!
and that’s why you are nobody. Just because you call chiellini a fag, doesn’t make us Inter fans endorse your behaviour, gay people are human, not commodity for slurs, shame on you for such a comment
In my experience the ones that pretend to defend gay rights are the most homophobic ones. I’m just expressing an opinion. Notice the way you started your comment, being passive-aggressive is the typical attitude of ‘moral’ individuals like you.
and again you are expressing your opinion in a very bizarre way!! are you saying no one should defend the rights of homosexual, so it wouldn’t appear that they actually homophobic? that is just typical shortsighted thinking. by the way nothing wrong with how I started my comment, yoou stood out as a nobody by stating that its ok to call people faggot if it was just for fun? I have news for you, IT IS NEVR OKAY. you are just another bully
People nowaday are so afraid of using words it scares me too see the future of being a robotized society. In a nervous moment, a man might say faggot or even worse, a motherfucker. That doesn’t mean he actually meant to say that. Stop being so sensitive ffs, you are grown up men. Everyone used those words and continue to use them, that is what humans do in frustrated situations. You are defending gays as if he wanted to eradicate them all. Dude, this political correctness really fucks with people’s minds. And it is OK to use slurs to call people. Stop giving me that bullshit saint behavior.
you can argue your point view from whichever angle you please, put that is not going to change the fact, discrimination is wrong anywhere, and when used by public figures is even worst (have you ever played a game of football with friends and someone called you a faggot, and in the heat of the moment you lost your mind just because that particular word hold worst meaning than any others, well I have). Do you really think that you have touched reality by the way you tackled this issue? “motherfucker” really!! that what you have in your poor rugged sack of schmuck like ideas. Since when people who call others “motherfuckers” are exemplary role models? and robot world, what that has to do with respect and treating others with respect?
Did you even read what I said? Of course slurs are bad, but hell they were created to be used and no one can stop their use. It is what people say in frustrated occasions and that is OK. And also, respect must be shown, but again you are acting like it is the worst thing to use slurs on someone’s address. If you follow that logic then you must never ever use bad words because it will somewhere sometime offend a bunch of sensitive people.
cant disagree with this
It used to be common (in some societies still is) to insult someone by calling him a nigga as if the color of one’s skin makes them a lesser man. It’s the same when you choose to insult someone by calling them a fag. The belief that the word “fag” is insulting is the real problem here. And that’s what “fucks with people’s minds” and promotes hostility and agression towards people who are different. Not better or worse, just different. Political correctness, even if not always applied right, is an attempt to solve these problems by removing hostility and aggression from public forums and showing young people that it’s not ok.
It is quite the opposite, its the fact that discriminatory slurs used intentionally in a bad manner, for example, he didn’t coach Inter to the title then Sarri came and told him Mancio you are quite a poof! Well done. The context of which people chose to utilize their slurs is what matters, after scoring the match goal your team-mate calling who is the shit, you are answering am the shit, that’s a bad word in supposedly good context the subject is bigger than what people believe the word represent
That’s exactly what I said. That using these words to insult someone is the real issue. And it’s not only the context at present that applies but the historical context of using these words. That’s why I used the word “belief”, I’m sure there are more suitable words like prejudice but that doesn’t change the point I’m trying to make, does it?
Absolutely right, it’s just the fact that some people try hard to make it sound like everyday business. some may hate homosexuals for religious reasons, some just uncomfortable, and others just hate them, but that mentality got to go. Sarri could have cursed a thousand other cuss words, but he chose to go with one stood fit to his anger and expressed his hate, i never called anyone a poof or a faggot, cause simply it is not a curse to me
Hell no I’m reading all this. I was just saying people say dumb shit when they’re angry. Are you really telling me you’ve never thought of insulting or hitting anyone in your entire life? Do you really want me to believe you levitate above the rest of us? To me fag is just another slur that slips my mind when I’m pissed off. Stop being so damn sensitive, no one is attacking gays, and I’m pretty sure they don’t need you to fight their wars in here. If you really get triggered so easily then stay at your home cause the real world will crush you. There are far worse things that can happen to you than someone calling you a bad word. If stating the obvious and speaking my mind about something we’ve all done makes me a bully in your eyes, so be it.Political correctness is a two-way street, tho. And some use it to tell the others what they should think or say. In my eyes that just makes you more vulnerable and desadaptive.
the way you write, the degree your opinion is smothered around the idea that it is okay to insult someone, is idiotic I doubt anyone actually finishes your comment, we are in 21st century where do you come from_ stone age? You got to wake up, I do swear but calling someone dumbass or jerk is not the same as a faggot or poof! your loose morals is your problem, by the way don’t worry about me getting out, I live in country where rights are protected and you can’t just cuss people out.. now i don’t know where you live but you should move out.
I never insulted you while you do it constantly which only proves my point. Whether you call someone a fag or a moronic twat comes from the same place of hate and should be treated equally. Get a job, hippie. 🙂
someone called a straight guy a fags or gay and he’s pissed off thats normal
but you can not give a yellow card for simulation? says who?
calling someone a faggot, and a poof, is not an incident on the field, sarri must be banned for at least 2 months, to learn his lesson. he already done this couple of years ago in a press conference .. disgusting.
