Inter played Carpi at home and should have got three points with themselves before the derby and the cup game against Juve mid-week. Instead it was like watching a replay of the last few seasons where 95 minutes of sloppy mistakes, bad passes and bad accuracy in front of goal ended up with Carpi getting a goal in the dying minutes. I forgot to mention that Carpi was playing with ten men and got Inter on a counter attack, something that should be absolutely impossible. First of all when leading 1-0 in the 93rd minute, Inter shouldn’t be attacking. It would be good to go for a 2-0 goal in the 50th, 60th, 70th and maybe up til 85th minute, but when it comes to the dying minutes it’s to big of a risk against a team that caused trouble even in the first half. Instead Inter did just that and was punished. Juan Jesus let the shot through his legs which made it impossible for Handanovic to save the ball.
I’ve lost count of how many times Juan has let goals in like this when going one against one against a striker. I’ve lost count of how many times Inter has let late goals in after missing 5 good opportunities. I’ve lost count of how many unnecessary points Inter has dropped at home against bottom teams. I’ve seen all of this before and it’s becoming worrying that it isn’t changing. In order for Inter to become great again, and to be a serious contender for the league title and even the CL-places, San Siro needs to become our fortress again. In the last three games at home, Inter has one point, and that’s against Lazio, Carpi and Sassuolo.
Today Mancini’s coaching and the players on the field weren’t good enough and in the end it was well deserved. Miranda came on at halftime to help the central defense and it seemed a good idea, but why did Telles leave the field instead of Montoya? Telles had a good start and was active on his wing. In the end Nagatomo came on and also there one would want to know why the more stable D’Ambrosio didn’t come on instead. And to be honest, even if it’s sad, it seems our most confident midfielder on the ball is Gary Medel. He could’ve helped the midfield today when Inter was suffering. Instead it all ended up with suffering a goal from Carpi, who were playing with ten men, and were losing. I expect all of the players that didn’t play today, that should’ve been on the field to play against Juve midweek, and maybe in the derby as well, but Inter can’t afford to lose points like this.
On top, Palacio, who has been 50% of what he used to be for over a year, was our best player. He fought, scored, created chances and nearly got another goal at two occasions. Perisic was generous in his running, but once again failed to contribute offensively. Ljajic tried to to something, but didn’t manage to get things done. Icardi was down in defense and on the wing running around and when the chance fell to him he didn’t score. Jovetic came on in the end but didn’t see the ball much. It’s clear that Inter’s offensive play needs to improve a lot, but it’s also clear that the midfielders at Mancini’s disposal aren’t good enough to help the strikers. Which means if the strikers can’t resolve the games by themselves, Inter will suffer and Inter is now suffering.
The 1-0 victories have done a lot for the team, and it’s given us 27 points. But maybe, and I say maybe because I wouldn’t know, if the team is to confident at 1-0 and doesn’t get 2-0 because they rely on the 1-0 result to stand. This is what could happen. Because the 1-1 result today was very well deserved for Carpi and Inter now needs to improve, a lot.

guys this time wouldn’t matter to provide an opinion, it was painful!
I don’t know where the fuck these haters have been hiding in the first half of the season!
Mancini is a failure, we already spent more than 100 million and it seems we will end up on 8th or 9th in the clasifica..Someone should tell to Thohir to fire him
There is no improvement since last season although we have spent more than 100 M for new player
U’ll eat your word at the end of the season.
Juan Jesus!! What did you do? You lost in sprint race with lasagna, you couldn’t cover him when he shot, and you blocked Handa’s view.. I am just tired with this clown.. He’s just at the same level with Stupid Ranocchia,, Argghhh
How can Mancini be blamed for this? Honestly his rotation of players have been decent and understandable…I think it all comes down to the players on the pitch not taking their chances when presented…I must say Palacio was absolutely brilliant today and it’s such a shame nobody backed him up…perisic threatened forcing a couple saves from Carpi’s keeper but yeah if it wasn’t clear before we lack a link from midfield to attack..last year’s capocannonarie simply needs more service…the players around him don’t provide that kind of service he needs…And yeah the only problem I saw today was the bad subs..when I saw naga come on I was a bit surprised…I was even more surprised when I saw Telles was the one to make way..he had a decent first half anf should have played to the full 90 IMO…JJ should have came off bringing our most reliable partnership with miranda and murillo who would have seen out the match for us given their performances this season but say what…we win as a team draw as a team and lose as a team…Juve up next then milan…let’s get em boys forza inter!!
Totally agree.
I dont wont another italian coach at Inter ever.
I really hoped mancini has learnt something from his spells at city and galata but how wrong was I.
1. His subs are pretty much always wrong and always at the very same time as well, too predictable, Jojo for Palacio in the 85th minute, seriously?!
2. He rotates the team and changes the formation too much. Because of this, we have no team, players cant get used to eachother cause there is no stability
2a. The core of the team are Handa Murillo and Miranda, thats it. 3 ouf of 11. These 3 are certain to play.. how stupid is this? Every Top Team in Europe has a starting 11, which is SLIGHTLY modified according to the opposition….I get the idea that sometimes a player who trains best gets the chance but I wouldn’t even consider starting Palacio instead Jovetic, Why? because Jovetic and probably Ljajic are the only 2 players at Inter who can change the game just like that out of nothing, in one moment.
3. Mancini doesn’t see whats obvious, the lack of offensive and creative midfielders and wingers, which also another reason why Icardi isnt scoring much
4. Mancini’s favourite player – Perisic, who costed us almost 20 mln euros…is playing every single game, why? Offensively he’s contribution is almost equal to none, ok fair play he works hard and runs a lot, but thats it, he’s runs are no threat to anyone….
5. Mancini has no charisma and he’s not a tactician and not a motivator, he’s personality isn’t on the level of Mourinho and Simeone and I wish for Diego at Inter asap!
You make very valid points…Mancini rotates a little bit too much for my liking..no continuity whatsoever which means jojo and icardi or any of our attacking players can’t form any good partnership..the only working one is a deteriorating palacio and icardi..only partnership where u can see both players on the same wavelength and that’s not acceptable…I mentioned that we missed a trick not signing allan and I was accused of whining but the truth and the fact is that there is no playmaker…potential ones? Yes with gnoukouri and kondo and even bozo though he’s more box to box and a midfielder with a bit of skill and composure on the ball in addition to defensive capabilities is just what we need. And about the wingers…that movement only comes when the players know each other inside out and for only being together 3/4 season that’s unlikely to be an instantaneous process.
Can’t fucking understand why Montoya & Nagatomo is playing when we have Santon & D’ambrosio. Also our midfield played like shit today..
When you always play with the idea to not concede and if you’re lucky enough can win 1-0. When you’re playing at home against team like Carpi, the result is 1-0 and your substitutes are putting in central defender and full back. When you constantly change the starting line up. When for half season you can create one or two opportunities from set pieces and waste so many of them. When your players don’t know how to move without the ball, pass mostly slow sideways or backwards, playing without speed and creativity. When you don’t know how and when to use substitutions when is needed to change the game. This is what you’ve got in the end, everybody receive what he deserves.
Cant believe f*cking Lasagna scored! Lasagnaaaa!!!! Whole of italy making fun now. F*ck Mancini and his b!tchy tactics
when you play with a 1-0 plan then all this is expected, INTER still has not improved tactically, wrong passes mean they have not trained as to where place the ball when the ball is in certain areas on the pitch instead we dribble with the ball for a long period of time leading to easier marking by opponents, INTER quality this season was due to players quality, with goals from 30 yards or jovetic curled shots at the edge of the box, non of INTER goals where from build up, they just give the ball to ljajic/jovetic in hope of creating something out of nothing…… all this come from a brain with old fashion type of football (Mancini), nowadays teams need to pass and move non stop.
my opinion will never change about Mancini he is not honest about his problems so there wont be chance for them to be fixed, he complains a lot but never admits making mistakes.
Todays was one of juan jesus best games, last goal was not his fault , he was the last defender while others were sleeping he read that move but the attacker kept the shot low and luckily between the legs in fraction of a second human eye can’t see, the problem is the whole team going forward without being careful , you ask why?? well Melo nor Brozovic can cover quickly in counter attack , these problems were mostly because of Mancini being rickless playing without any of medel or kondogbia.
INTER IS NOT BETTER UNDER MANCINI… INTER SQUAD IS BETTER
…Simple!
mancini is an overrated and over-payed idiot and ignorant.
GOOD analysis ! bravo.
mancio is not a mentor, not a tactician,… what is he ?
a trader who takes provision from players ?
80% very possible, because insisting on players like yaya and Melo, shows he puts a lot of trust in experienced players, see how Gnoukouri disappeared..
Kovacic said this : ” Training in Real is great, we do everything with a ball, it is never boring. They are shorter than in Inter, but with higher intensity.
In Italy it was more boring because we had some training sessions just practicing formations, with no ball play”
I approve that more now.
just figured he compalined about wasting two chances, he never fails to disappoint, instead of saying we couldnt create many chances , like icardi complained at the start of the season, see how mancini makes a fuss about wasting 2 ??!!, wow they were the only ones Mancini, wake up??? simply ignorant
talking about handling the heat and his team the other day, watch what he said today:
” but the two chances we had were sensational. I, at 50 years of age, would have scored a goal ”
players now know they dont have their coach support and publically being mocked, such a shameful act.
mind you, he was complaining about everyone today.
I agree we should’t blame JJ for the goal. Nagatomo was pressing high and left a huge space for Carpi to exploit in the counter attack. And our midfielders was sleeping.

Well that is what we get for fucking playing like a peice of Serie B shit. Score one goal and then we lock down vs Carpi. Ofcourse bullshit like this will happen. 1-0 lead is always gambling and we are starting to pay the price for it. FUCK.
when we have 1-0 trend, most of us see no problem with that and satisfy.. -__-
Sure, its always fun to win 3 points, but I doubt anybody was ever really satisfied with 1-0 victories. They are not convincing, we knew we are going to run out of “luck” sooner or later and they don’t prove our quality. Even when we were first, we weren’t taken as serious contenders as Napoli or Juve. 1-0 is always a gamble and we are paying a price for it.
Time after time Mancini tries to get too cleaver by needlessly rotating players – he also needs to learn to make substitutions that actually positively impact the match for once
what’s the problem ?!? mancio has been doing great job since he came two years ago. all young players are progressing significantly in the direction of the bench or out of the club. he is a great mentor !
inter provided some strong resistance to the serious opponent like carpi !
very promising for a small club like inter.
We need a runner like Lavezzi and a smart CM like Soriano.
In recent games Brozo has been too shity to watch!
The only way to relieve myself from this misery is perhaps Inter would accelerate Lavezzi negotiation. Regardless, there is something wrong with this team this season. Mancini’s task is to find it, and solve it, immediately! You can’t solve a problem when you don’t know what the problem is.
I am fucking sick and tired of this shit, year after year. Fucking Carpi!!!! Absolute disgrace
But last game, Inter can win away against Napoli
I will cry at the end of the season cuz of Sassuolo lose and Carpi draw. We could have +5 points.
and Lazio was losing 5 or 6 matches in a row I think, then they come to San Siro and beat us when we were first?!?!?!?! +8 my good friend, +8
I couldnt even finish reading, it hurts too much to talk and read
about this game
