The No.55 shared his thoughts on the after the victory over Chievo Verona: “I’m pleased with the win, although we were made to sweat at the end”
MILAN – The Japanese defender, Yuto Nagatomo, believes Inter should focus on their own performances from now until the end of the season.
“I’m happy with the victory,” declared the Nerazzurri defender to Inter Channel after full-time in Inter v Chievo. “We won despite the fact we were under pressure in the final ten minutes.
“We ran out of steam a bit towards the end. We mustn’t look at how the teams around us are doing, the important thing is that we get the results ourselves. We have to work hard and think positively.”
Nagatomo also highlighted Inter’s ability to fight and stay united: “They pressed hard looking for the equaliser, but ultimately we won and that’s the important thing.”

But you let them press by sitting back and relaxing. You shouldn’t relax until the last whistle of the game. You do this most of the time, and you have paid dearly for your defensive miscues. I don’t know if over confidence, tiredness/fatigue are to be blamed for this. Mancini should seriously work on the defense to be resolute,and not to cave in or succumb under intense pressure. Such pressure should be overcome by attacking your opponents also. This is a great defense, and as such you don’t have to crumble under pressure. I hope you’re gonna turn this nonsense around starting from your next game, because your opponents are capitalizing on this weakness of yours to hurt you. Mancini should wake you guys up from this slumber. PERIOD.
