Last season Yaya Touré was one of Inter’s main targets on the mercato for a long time. It was said that the Ivorian midfielder wanted to come to Inter but suddenly changed his mind when City offered him a new contract. Since it was Guardiola who made Touré leave Barcelona, it’s now probable that the Ivorian will leave City in the summer with Inter as one of the interested clubs. Calciomercato.it interviewed Toure’s agent who had the following things to say about a possible move to Inter:
“It’s true, we are talking to Mancini and we have been talking. We’re looking for a solution with City, who wants to sell Yaya Touré, but won’t let him go on a loan. I can’t say if any other clubs are interested, because he still has a contract. Inter? It’s a good club.”
Toure played 28 games for City in the Premier League this season and got six goals and five assists. He is now 33 years old if he is to join Inter that would probably be his last great club in Europe.
Anyone who has seen Yaya Toure for these past 2 seasons understands that he is finished. When Mancini was at City, Yaya was dangerous because of his speedy runs forward, now he is as slow as a turtle and the opposition neutralises him with ease. Medel is much better than him.

Yaya was changed into a box-to-box beast by Mancini when he came to City, Mancini simply told him to attack more and run more forward than he was used to do, but when playing for Barca he played as a deeper laying “destroyer” in front of the defense and had the role of a destroyer/regista duo to his great passing skills – THAT*S he role he might be given if he joins us, I think, with the young “new Yaya”-Kondogbia doing the box-to-box movements, Banega doing the architectural work in attack, Yaya could be our new, much need regista! Still; I´d prefer Biglia in that role though, but he seems to be too expensive…..

Guys mancini gets what mancini wants. I think the meeting with thorhir he said we must get yaya. City willing to sell is just the green light needed for the transfer. I am sure we pay his salary but it should be based off performance related situations opposed to outright 5 million a year. I think it is only fair for both parties. Yaya thinks he can still be one of the best, i think we just need to say “show us now” and you will be paid.
