Sevilla are reportedly interested in re-signing Inter Milan midfielder Gary Medel.
The Chilean international represented Sevilla between 2011 and 2013, before moving on to Cardiff City and latterly to Inter, where he has been since the summer of 2014.
The midfielder made 44 appearances for Inter last season, but it is understood that he is now considered surplus to requirements at San Siro.
According to TodoMercadoWeb, new Sevilla’s boss Sampaoli wants to bring the 28-year-old back to Spain on this transfer window.

He is not exactly world class, but he can cover both DM and CB. If he is sold then the club would need to buy both a new DM and a new CB.

Medel + 20m for Krychowiak
I’d gladly accept even with straight swap medel for krychowiak.. him and banega will be perfect fit
hehe, but Sevilla wont. Medels worths 15m at best, while Krychowiak is in the 30-35 region thanks to his past 2 seasons

Problem is that Sevilla doesn’t have big spending power and I don’t see them paying 13-15 mil which would satisfy me. Sampaoli is a great admirer of Medel so maybe it could happen, especially if they have some big outgoing transfer.
