Gianluca Di Marzio reports on his homepage that Inter and Juventus could go head to head over yet another player. This time it’s former Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo who the Bianconeri have identified as a possible replacement for Paul Pogba.
Di Marzio reports that Juventus have already spoken to the player’s agent but so far have only been prepared to sign him on loan whilst Wolfsburg prefer a more permanent solution. Inter, on the other hand, have been in touch with Wolfsburg via intermediaries and are prepared to make an €18 million offer plus €2 million in bonuses.
Furthermore, as of July 29th Luiz Gustavo is a German citizen and therefore he wont occupy a non-EU player slot either, but he has a €32 million release fee clause in his contract. Inter have been interested in the player before and are looking to bring the Luiz Gustavo to Milano to sit in front of Mancini’s defense.

I wanted him before he moved to Wolfsburg, but now i’d be against signing him. He has been declining at wolfsburg though and is already 29, not sure it would be a wise signing.
Might as well go for biglia then, if signing another player without resale value. Bigla is far superior in every aspect.

Gustavo or Biglia…as long as Melo is gone..! If playing with double pivot makes us more balance then go for it..dont give Perisic or Candreva too much burden to run at defenders, provide crosses, while also help a lot in defense..
I was wondering when Mancini will think of him. I’d like to see him in Inter, he’s better than Medel and more versatile. And the Tottenham game showed we need someone stable and experienced in the middle while Kondogbia and Brozovic find their consistency.
Yeah i totaly agree,i was hoping we might consider him (or Biglia for example) as well…we need to get a player who is just as good as Medel in defense but not limited like him in attack and with another CB for rotation i think we would have a good team so then it is up to Mancio to bring us CL next season…And i think,if we don’t sell any important players,that we are at least a true match for Napoli and Roma this season adn with a bit of luck and good leadership from MAncio we should be able to fulfill our goal and reach the CL this season..

Im pretty sure this Brozovic is not good enough for our midfield,based on all pre season at least..Yesterday he was really bad,did nothing good only mistake by mistake.. and im sure we dont need new fullbacks or defenders(tho Garay would be good for Murillo to step his game up),but we need MC for the same reason..more players=harder to get starting spot=train harder,play better.I would like to see Gustavo or Witsel in midfield,but its just me.Forza Inter! ah and yea if i was president of Inter i would fine full squad with 1 month without salary for that performance tbh
