As reported by Sky Sports, after having almost finalised the transfer of Lorenzo De Silvestri to Torino, Sampdoria now focuses on the inbound market to find a replacement for the former Lazio player. The first objective is Dodò from Inter, the player who Samp will now try to push and close the deal. At Sampdoria Dodò would play on the left side of defence with Sala moved to the right to substitute De Silvestri.
