The respective paths of Inter and Napoli have already crossed during this mercato season, with Mauro Icardi and Manolo Gabbiadini rumoured to have been the subject of bids from each club. Now it seems they could be set to do battle in a hotly-anticipated pursuit of Santos forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa.
Aurelio De Laurentiis’ club are currently in discussions with the Brazilian club over the transfer of 22-year-old right back Daniel Guedes. This has led to reports suggesting Gabigol is an idea currently being evaluated by the Azzurri management, which they could well proceed to back up by presenting an official offer in the coming days.
Gabigol’s future is set to be decided upon his country’s completion of their Rio 2016 Olympics campaign. At the moment Serie A appears to be his most likely destination as both Inter and Juventus have made proposals, whilst Napoli’s interest may be set to escalate.

i saw him yesterday vs germany in olympic final. this young left back called klostermann playing for germany and for club leipzig ate this barbosa guy for lunch…
if we still go for a left back we should really go for this klostermann. all these hyped so called talents from brazil stand no chance vs this guy yesterday… only goal from brazil was a free kick from neymar..
klostermann is the best and i guess cheapest left back we can get these days… better go for such guys instead of barbosa imo…

I think the best thing that Napoli can get from the market is Balotelli that Gabigol tragedy if its stays going I think we should bull out of it, even Neymar didn’t get that hype he directly went to Barcelona, either he agree to the deal or let us fill that non-Euro spot for someone who has real future plans for himself.
